Watches , pins ( and other game room stuff ) and the Porsche for me. Don't wear the watches enough, play my games enough, or drive the Porsche enough. Real shame as I do miss them but I find I'd rather spend my free time with my 3 and 5 year old girls. Good news is that they do like to go play the jukebox and some games now and then.

#30 10 years ago
Quoted from MrBally:

I always make time to drive the German cars. Even if I just do a quick five mile loop to smile as I listen to the engine make music.

I did the same but as time passes I do the rides less often. But I agree, it is a pleasure to drive. They are amazing cars.

Quoted from DCFAN:

I decided to stop wearing a watch when I started carrying a cell phone all the time.

I have noticed this quite a bit. A wrist watch is becoming less and less a necessity for a lot of people.

love this 323 panerai - everything i was looking for

1. stainless 47 mm radiomir case
2. automatic
3. ten day power reserve with indicator on dial
4. gmt complication
5. great lume
6. awesome strap and tang buckle
7. see through rear sapphire crystal with decorated movement
8. sandwich dial
9. small seconds and date
10. in house movement

Who is your watchmaker Ted? Is he local to us? Thanks. Ant.

#379 8 years ago

Just had Hublot swap out the rubber with this steel, ceramic, and Kevlar bracelet.

image.jpgimage.jpg

#381 8 years ago

Thanks Ted. Does he have inventory as well? I just might want to bring a few automatics to him for service/polishing that are out of warranty. Like my pins, I bought most of my watches from 2000-2009. Figure it would be much cheaper than the AD. Thanks again. Ant.

Nice. Daytona, Deep Sea, and Submariner in black are only Rolexs I would ever own. I have a Deep Sea and that fills my one Rolex quota for now. A solid gold Daytona might be on my radar in the near future. That or a solid gold AP ROO.

Omega planet ocean today. Haven't had this on in a long time.

Love the orange and black on stainless bracelet

Need to set it even though it was on winder.

jumped from swatch as a kid to tag as a young adult finally making some money to this when i started making real money - cartier roadster chronograph in stainless. it looked cool and my buddy wanted one too. gets limited wrist time since i've taken my collection to another level but it is still my first high end watch. enjoy

I have no fakes. What I do is wear my roo or panerai or any of my other high end watches (probably $200,000 worth like your friend) when I know it won't be in jeopardy from it getting dinged up,
Scratched, or stolen. When I'm in a situation where that may happy, I wear my beater tag (my first nice watch I bought on a cruise at 18 with money I worked for), one of my citizen eco drives (buddy worked for the company and every year they gave their employees the opportunity to by at 40% of retail, not off), or any of my other lower end watches. I know I simply could not wear or buy a fake anything but that's just me.

#758 7 years ago

Thanks. The watches are next. Just keeping my ROO on bracelet and one of my panerais. And the cheap ones too. Lol

#760 7 years ago

Yes. Right down Sussex. How do you know about the college?

#770 7 years ago
Quoted from DBLM:

Just curious: Why are folks posting about their expensive watches on a public forum? When combined with other information that people post here (names, cities, etc) and information that people didn't realize they posted (pictures with geo tags, for example), you could be giving folks easy ways to track you down. To each their own, but please understand how this information can be used against you without you realizing it.

Good question. If you go over to time zone, you'll see people do it all the time. My guess is that it you can afford an AP, Cartier, Rolex, Omega, ... You probably have a sophisticated alarm system, insurance on your watch collection, and someway to protect yourself and family in the event that someone comes along and tries to steal from you.

Think of the collections of pins on here. Kind of the same thing. But I always thought it much harder to come steal my tron LE versus my watch.

#779 7 years ago
Quoted from Kratogen:

A Jaquet Droz with petrified wood dial (client's watch posted w/permission)

They do that watch with some really nice back dials. Almost pulled the trigger once.

^ awesome. When I saw my first panerai in torrneau, Vegas, I knew id own a few before long.

Hi all. Looking to trade a mint Rolex Deep Sea for a pin. Putting a value of $9,000 on the watch. That is pretty much what mint newer (last few years) Deep Seas sell for on Timezone Showcase. Just ask Pinside from Timezone. LOL.

Pins I would be interested in plus or minus cash are:
TZ
TAF
IJ TPA
Iron Maiden Premium or LE
Batman 66
Houdini
Hobbit
Aerosmith Premium or LE
Stern Star Wars Premium or LE
and Walking Dead Premium or LE.

Let me know. Thanks,Ant

Deep sea I mentioned previously in thread I’d trade for a pin or sell outright. Anyone have an Iron Maiden premium?

so here is something that is been bugging me for a long time now since smart watches have come out. i stay on top of my fitness goals 1000x more with an apple watch or fitbit on my wrist. but that means i can't wear my panny, deep sea, big bang, ap roo, .... do i put the smart watch on the right wrist and rock the showcase on the left?????? i average over 15000 steps with the smart watch on, 5000 with it off. reminders are what gets me moving and staying healthy. what do you guys do?

Have you seen the Motiv ring? That's what i use/wear. I hate wearing something on my right wrist, so gave up. Then i found the Motiv and i really like it. Watch on left wrist, wedding ring on left hand and motiv on right hand.

Will check it out. Thanks.

Selling my complete LNIB Rolex Deep Sea Sea Dweller which includes all removed links, papers, tags, boxes, and stickers. $8000 cash, check, or wired to my bank account. Checked all the websites and couldn't find one less than $8550. Local pickup or will ship insured for free once funds clear. Wire or check if not a face to face cash deal. Here is a quick picture and I can send you more if you are interested. Many references here for selling a lot of mint A tier pinball machines. Thanks for looking. Edit-Sorry forgot to mention not looking to trade this for pins.

Hi all. I have some automatic watch winders for sale so that I can upgrade to a larger unit.

I have three Orbita single watch winders that are all rotorwind. They hold the watch vertically and the head turns till the watch oscillates back and forth to wind watch. They are he plug in version so you don't have to worry about batteries. I would take $100 shipped for each OBRO.

I also have a Monaco 2. This one is a larger winder with a wood and glass cabinet. It has a high gloss finish and is very nice looking. It has two winding heads that can be powered by the included plug. I would take $525 shipped for it OBRO.

I will post some pics and if you would like additional information please message me. The picture of the Monaco 2 is of the actual winder. The pics of the single winders (I have two rectangular and one round) are stock photos but I can send you actual photo and video of everything working as it should.

I am near Morristown NJ and a pick up meeting can be arranged and that will bring the cost down to 90 for the singles and 500 for the double.

Thanks, Ant

Yep, the other swatch that came with it had a receipt from Aug. 1986!
