What do you guys think? I have been thinking about picking up a Rolex Sea Dweller, but am not sure the best place to purchase. Anybody here have one they are looking to get rid of? Any ideas where the best price would be? Any help would be nice.

#1077 7 years ago

Thank you Toucanf16, I will check that out.

Quoted from ToucanF16:

+1
There are lots of Sea Dweller knock-offs out there. Some are very good. So good, in fact, you have to remove the case back to really ensure you have a legit Rolox. Knowing the seller is key!

I have seen some really good knock-offs out there. With that being said I am considering just going to a Rolex dealer and dumping the 12K on a new one instead of searching thru the thousands of knock-offs.

Got the DeepSea on today. And, yes... its been in the water!

Mine has been diving in the ocean also, and will be many more times. Thats one of the reasons I purchased it.

Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

I have the dumb question of the day. I was wearing my Boliva that says "Water Resistant 300m" on the face. Can I go swimming with that on?
I did a little reading and most people are saying that you shouldn't wear it in a pool because it's not guaranteed to keep water out.
Thoughts?

If it says that it is good for 300m, as long as the stem is screwed tight and it has not been tampered with in the past you will be fine in the pool.

Can anybody here say what is a good (not crazy priced) watch winder?

#1326 6 years ago
Quoted from spfxted:

I have one I might be selling. Top quality, but only a single winder. I'll post pix if you'd like.

That would be great,thanks.

#1332 6 years ago
Quoted from spfxted:

Hi. Let me know if you're interested as someone contacted me to be next in line. I'd like to get around $200. (Paid much more)
AND, I just found the original box with Instruction Bag!

Thanks for the pics Ted. If you have somebody who wants it now let it go,I think my wife may have bought me one for my birthday but wont know until the day comes. I will let you know if she didnt than.

Just do it. Its something that will be passed down to your children and theirs. You dont seem to have a problem buying big money pins.

#1466 6 years ago

Hey Ted is this guy calling us douchbags?

#1474 6 years ago

I have to admit I do not have a Ed Hardy shirt I am not a big fan of them. I do like my Tommy Bahamas shirts thou.

Anything to look for in winders? Are they all pretty much the same? Are they noisy?

I have a wolf in my bed room and can not hear it at all.

I like watches as much as pinball, but just finally got caught up reading this entire thread.
Got the call and picked this up today[quoted image]

Very nice, a Sea-Dweller may be my next.

Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

I don't have the crazy money to spend on watches, since it all goes to pinball machines, but I picked this up the other day. I really like it. I wasn't sure if I would or not, but it looks nice.

Looks like my hulk.

The Hulk,I love it. Mind if I ask what you paid,Is it new?

#1789 4 years ago
Quoted from Mike_J:

Bought a NIB Hulk from Leonardo in Red Bank, NJ last year for my nephew for 13.5K as a graduation present.
I found that to be a silly Price since I’d paid less for my SS Daytona from the same dealer, but that what the kid wanted.

Are they really that much? I have one I purchased new a couple of years ago for 9050.00 but I see the price has been jumping. Very nice watch no matter what the price. I think my next purchase will be a deep sea.

Almost pulled the trigger today on another sub but the wife was there to stop me. I will be getting a GMTII when one pops up.

#1875 3 years ago
Quoted from golfingdad1:

Oh man, that is 30% of the cost of the watch .
Thats not right

Yeah that is expensive, I hope to never have to send my Sub in for a tune up as long as I have it. What is wrong that you need to replace the face?

If anyone wants to trade a Rolex 126600 for a pinball...i have a twd pro and/or a x-men pro to trade towards it. Preferably in wisconsin or nearby.

Your going to have to trade both plus a little cash for that.

#1936 3 years ago
Quoted from madtown:

Or one and a lot of cash...

Good luck with your search I wish you luck for both parties.

So lets say I have a watch that I love, but I absolutely hate the leather band. Any suggestions on getting a new one? Do I have to take it somewhere, or are they universal where I can just buy something online?
This is the watch.

A couple of years ago I went out and bought a Hulk and my friend said he never would have bought a green Rolex, his is black. He did say a couple of months ago I made a good choice.

Curious what that runs ?
Pm me if you care to share but nice watch man!

A yellow gold Sky Dweller should be in the 40k range I would think.

Quoted from Cobray:

I'm in absolute love with this watch, so much that I've thought about selling a few pins to get it. IDK if I'm crazy or what lol. I have always loved Green Rolex's (Hulk and Starbucks) and GMT Master II's, and the left hand design is super cool. Looks like I'd be paying a hint over $20K for one though. [quoted image]

I have been looking at this also but with my daughter getting married soon its out of the question. I do have a Hulk so that will have to do for now.

Scratching my head on that one but if someone threw that new ice blue/platinum Daytona with the clear back at me, I’d take it!

Is this the only Rolex with a clear back?
