I would love to find a Coke Dial GMT. I bought mine 15 years ago and regret selling it. Cost has gone through the roof since then!

The best watch I’ve ever owned was the Omega Speedmaster Last Man On The Moon.
Yes, they need to be maintained. We had a great guy in Windsor but he retired. I wish I could have it back!
Pawn Shop! Most dealers have one or two you just have to show them cash. When I got my Daytona years ago. I asked how much they were they told me with a giggle. I grabbed the cash walked in again they walked past me like I wasn’t there. I said to the lady I spoke with earlier that I wanted it. She said sorry sir you have to wait to get one. I pulled the cash out put it on the glass and one suddenly appeared.
Quoted from Orko:Question for all of you watch aficionados. I’m wanting to buy my dream watch which is a Rolex. I’ve been looking for the GMT-Master II Oyster, 40MM in oystersteel. Every dealer I’ve looked at wouldn’t put me on a list unless I lived in that respective state. And the local Chicago authorized dealers will only put you on a list of you buy “other jewelry” which I just found out today was a banable offense by Rolex, S it goes against there policy. Does Anyone know how a pleb like me can get one? I’ve included a picture of the exact one I want.

Zeidmans is a pawn shop in Detroit, MI It is about ten minutes from my house not including the border. The one that I go to is in a rough neighbourhood. They also sell on eBay. Great group of people.
Quoted from Astropin:Who's? You said "pawn shop".
Beautiful watch! Even cooler knowing it’s history! Congratulations!
Quoted from woody24:Oh hey! I can participate.
Last year I got married. My wife, who lives a minimal life and doesn't understand why people hold onto anything of value, bought me a Breitling from the mid-1940s. It's 100% legit. I sent it to a guy who Breitling themselves recommended because he used to work for them and now spends his time fixing and cleaning vintage Breitlings exclusively.
These photos are from the initial ebay listing. I haven't taken the time yet to get some good photos of it. I did send it to the Breitling guy to inspect in person, and he gave me some great information. He says that it's from a period before Breitling kept detailed records, so he placed the watch between 1943-1946 (I think that's what I remember. I'd have to check the email again.) He said the piece on the inside that has the Breitling script isn't 100% accurate, but said he can tell the script was done professionally, most likely as a replacement done by Breitling.
I looked up Morris Sotos, and did find a census from the 40's where he was in his 20's in New York, and the son of a Jewish taylor. So it may very well have been his watch.
