Quoted from Mike_J:Very cool. Would you mind posting a photo of the caseback?
I’ll take some higher quality pics when I get back home from work. Here’s a stock image of the caseback, unfortunately it’s solid but with a nice etched design.

I love it. Where did you pick it up, if you don’t mind?
I’m not a Rolex fan but the new OP colors are an homage to the Stella Day Dates of the 1970’s. These were not big sellers at the time but have become cult classics. I respect the crown for trying something different and these might prove popular with a younger crowd.
Quoted from captainadam_21:That's what I'm thinking. Plus they still have the classic black or blue options. I'd be curious how the new colors look in person. That green does look interesting.
I wear a 39 which has been eliminated. I'd also be curious to see how much bigger a 41 is
I’d love to see them in person myself. I bet these are gonna be popular with both men and women.
Quoted from Astropin:I've got this one incoming:

Formex Reef
42mm (47mm lug to lug)
300m water resistance
Ceramic bezel
Sellita SW300 COSC certified Swiss movement
I’ve been eyeing up the Reef. Let me know what you think. Formex makes a good product.
Quoted from gprotein:Got a surprise call from my AD today, I drove down there in a heavy rain to pick it up. What a last minute Christmas’ gift!
[quoted image]
Beautiful Batman! Congrats on the pick up. That watch is too nice not to wear every day.
Damn, I wish I had an Omega to drop on y’all. Congratulations to you guys on the grail acquisitions. I actually have my grandfather’s Constellation, I need to dig it up and get it repaired. Anyone know a good watchmaker in northern NJ?
Quoted from rai:I placed my interested order for the Rolex 41 Oyster Perpetual. I really like them in person and the 41 looked perfect on my wrist. I can't decide but said would take any color of Silver, Black or Blue. I think the silver looks the most classy but the darker watch faces have better contrast.
I have no idea when they will call me, so I am looking for something that doesn't overlap too much in the meantime (guess I am starting a mini collection).
I don't really like any dive watches looked at several such as Breitling and Omega. I think I want something more light and playful.
I am just looking but this one caught my eye as a more everyday watch with the Rolex being as a more dressy watch (Silver).
I have not decided on my less dressy watch but would like some suggestions, not too chunky and no date.

You are on the right track here. Just wait for an OP to become available, then make your decision. I would highly recommend that Longines sector dial and the Nomos as well. Check out Glasutte, IWC, and Omega. Maybe you will like a more affordable bespoke watch from Dornbluth. Have fun!
Quoted from rai:I just got a watch, not anything that's too oddball. I did like the sector dials but decided on more traditional face on a Nato strap to make it more feel casual.

congrats Rai! Glad you are happy with the purchase. That’s a great watch!
I think Sinn is a better buy than Oris, in my opinion. If I had to pick between the two. It’s merely opinion, if you are happy with your purchase, that’s all that matters.
The date on the Type XX doesn’t bother me much. Preferably, I seem to lean towards watches without date functions. That being said, DennisK, I’m also a huge fan of the Marine Big Date as well. Love that watch!
DennisK. What’s the craftsmanship like on a Lange? Unfortunately, I’ve never had the pleasure. I picture walking into an AD or boutique like the children walk into the chocolate room in Willy Wonka. Pure imagination!
Something doesn’t makes sense there, but congrats to the 3 former employees that were so convincing to pull the wool over Omega’s eyes. I wanna party with those guys!
You have a larger than most, Nico. I on the other hand have George Foreman hands. 8.5 inches on my smallest day . Wish I could say the same for my pecker! Lol
Quoted from zermeno68:I’m in the market for a cheap Pocket Watch. Anyone here can give suggestions for a cheap unit? Which brand is a nice value, but looks “cool” at the same time?
Where I work I’m not allowed to have watches, but a pocket watch is.
I prefer to have a unit that I would not mind getting scratched.. hence, not wanting to spend too much money.
Dude you can get some really cool pocket watches for cheap! Tons of vintage Hamilton’s, Ball’s etc. look at all the defunct American brands of the past. Tons of great craftsmanship that isn’t appreciated today, like it should be.
Quoted from zermeno68:Just realized that. I’m open for used market.
I just need to ensure I can find a watch tech who can fix the watch when it needs repair.
Do you know Federico? The guy owns Del Ray watch and never screws anyone. He is a completely honest business man. Call him, talk to him, tell him what you like and he will find it for you. He also won’t bend you over on the price. The dude knows the business and works to help his clientele, not rob them. Chech out Del Ray, you won’t be disappointed
Quoted from Astropin:This was my 25 year gift from my employer...
[quoted image]
Oh, wait, I'm my employer
Lucky bastard. My employer would figure out a creative way that I owe him money. But if he gave me a watch, it would be a G Shock, guaranteed
Quoted from HeyYouSir:I must be an exception to that rule!
Anyone remember Realm cologne. “Pheromones that attract women .” I used to love that shit oh and drakkar noir
