That's a sweet looking watch. I don't do preorders though after falling for one last year that keeps getting pushed back over and over and over. I think I'm getting screwed out of $1,500 on a helmet.

#353 8 years ago

It ships on the 10th of July.If not by the end of July. Then get a refund from PayPal.Very reputable company.Go to watchuseek.com forum.

People are getting the 30 atmos GMT with the white face and Pepsi aluminum bezel as we speak. This was a pre-order also.Rave reviews.

I like the Black face with ceramic bezel. So I waited for this one.

I basically narrowed my choice down to the Squale or the Steinhart (Ocean 1), and went with the Steinhart. I've had it a couple of weeks, and I can't possibly be happier!

The Squale would be great too I'm sure, and the Rolex GMT homage looks nice.

This just arrived today, it's pretty uncommon. I've wanted this watch since '99-00~ when I saw it at Tourneau. Couldn't even find it for years. It's a little stylized so it isn't something I'd wear all the time, but after 15 years I finally have one! I'm digging Seiko a lot lately.

Barfed up another post elsewhere that mentioned some of the collection I mentioned here, earlier... except I had time to try taking some better pics. So I thought I'd share them here...

I found the Omega Seamaster movement and case nonfunctional in a box of junk parts... I cleaned it and supplied a crystal and band, but the dial scratch shall remain as testament to its rescue. I hacked the stainless dime frankenpiece together from that same box o' pile; with parts from at least 7 different watches it's hideous by intent, but works (!).

I *think* the Parnis is supposed to be an IWC Portuguese Tourbillion homage... whatever it is, I love the thing: it's so smooth, fluid, accurate and beautiful. Couldn't care less about the name.

So, I just bought my second nice watch - an IWC Spitfire Mk XVI. Love it - but I had to swap out the bracelet for a strap, since it is short a few links. Don't suppose any IWC owners on here have any spare links they could sell me?

Adding a Timex Dynabeat to my collection.

Yes, he's in New City, NY....about 12 minutes from me! I'm there just about every Friday, or Saturday.
What do you need done? He can service a Rolex as well...

#381 8 years ago

Thanks Ted. Does he have inventory as well? I just might want to bring a few automatics to him for service/polishing that are out of warranty. Like my pins, I bought most of my watches from 2000-2009. Figure it would be much cheaper than the AD. Thanks again. Ant.

#382 8 years ago

Yes, he has inventory. Many times he will do the work "while you wait" if he's not busy. If you're going to go, let me know and we'll meet there.
