My favorite watch is still my binary watch, Samui moon by The One. While it is not an expensive watch and only tells the time (no seconds or date), it is just cool for electronics and computer types like myself. It's an older model from about 12 years ago, but they have some real neat ones out now

This has been a good few weeks. Took delivery of a Godzilla Premium and then bought this grail watch which I have been eyeing for quite some time.

We must live in some kind of parallel universe! Just got my Alien Limited and also picked up my grail watch:

Damn, I wish I had an Omega to drop on y’all. Congratulations to you guys on the grail acquisitions. I actually have my grandfather’s Constellation, I need to dig it up and get it repaired. Anyone know a good watchmaker in northern NJ?

I was hoping to snag an Omega MoonSwatch… no such luck.

My guess is that they’ll be available once the initial buzz dies down a bit. They look great.

I am very pleased with my Helm Khuraburi dive watch. It was well worth the year plus wait.

Newest watch....I've been looking for a nice Ernest Borel for a while. Love the moving dials that create a pattern. Just picked it up today....

Borel is cool, but if you can’t find one to your liking check out Humism.

Yes....I almost got my wife a matching female version, but she wasn't crazy about it. Oh well...more for me!
So this is what I just got.......a BRAILLE watch! Very interesting with a porcelain face and when you push the crown the top pops so you can read it with your fingers. Never had one and it gets noticed..... (bad joke here, but I ain't goin' for it!!)

Newest addition to the collection. Titanium 42mm Seamaster Planet Ocean, second generation with the 8500 movement, and ceramic/liquid metal bezel. Been looking at them for a while, worked out a deal I couldn't pass up. I love everything about it.

Mr Jones is having a sale on their watches so it's a good time to pick up the pinball watch. Looks it's $38 less if you pay from the uk site unless there are some hidden charges.

Me too! I've almost pulled the trigger a few times, but as much as I like it, I don't think I'll wear a watch that I can't tell the time on without glasses.

This new piece I have no problem reading the time. Amazingly beautiful to stare, I mean to look at.

Mesmerizing color combo: it starts with radiant sunburst blue dial, a sweeping orange lightening bolt second hand, and a green sapphire crystal to top it off

I had that same watch, lost it at a bachelor party...no idea where it ended up. Really miss it, but can't bring myself to buy the same watch twice. My Garmin Fenix 5x will have to do.

Now when the sun hits it, that’s where the fun starts. The color combo dial just pop under the light and the green crystal gives it a beautiful halo effect

The humble Casio Royale. No super strong magnet that can unzip a woman’s dress like it did in the James Bond movie, but for $30, it’s hard to complain it lacks that particular feature.

Clearly, you're not a secret agent. Either that or you're married. ;>

Sweet, it looks just like the original I have wanted for sometime. Did these just come out? Glad I saw this.

Got inspired and just ordered the gold and black two tone version of the Casio Royale on Amazon for $20. Kind of a no brainer at that price point.

I’m thinking it may be time to join the Oris or Longines club. A bit more than I usually like to spend on a watch, but a nice used one could sneak in under the guilt radar.

Something not-dressy, smart casual, tooly-ish watch with a bit of the bling.

Leaning Oris. Bracelets and finish are usually better and I like to support independent businesses over megacorps whenever the option is available.

Hmmm… the options…

That Oris reminds me a bit of the Citizen Signature Driver.
PXL_20220609_174855272 (resized).jpgPXL_20220609_174855272 (resized).jpg

The E760 movement in the Citizen is one of my favorite quartz calibers, with solar power, a perpetual calendar, independently adjustable hour and multiple power save modes that allow it to stay in the dark for years if put away fully charged. The ultimate set and forget watch.

The only downside I see is it's easy to mess up the calendar if you're playing with the crown setting positions.

Yep… the Aquis line has some sweet offerings indeed. The cherry sunburst w/steel relief bezel is quite a looker…

Aquis might be the way to go. It’s distinctive, not playing homage/me-too games with Rolex or Omega (I’m looking at you Longines Hydroconquest), and comes from an innovative independent company with a killer value proposition.

Hmmmm. Which one… hmmmmm.

Nope! They’ve been out for a while. You can snag a black one on a resin strap for like $15
