I’ve had my SKX007 for a few years. (Might be a touch too big on my wrist, but the 013 is harder to find.) It originally came with a rubber dive strap, but I just recently put it on a jubilee bracelet. It’s got just the right amount of sportiness while still looking classy enough to wear to the office.

OMG, that's the coolest watch I've seen on this thread in who knows how long. Forget about the Rolexes, that is an awesome Seiko. Where did you get it?
Quoted from Astropin:Just picked this up:

Doxa SUB 300T in aquamarine.
While it is named the 300t the actual dive rating is 1200m! (Approximately 4000ft).
Decorated Swiss automatic movement
Sapphire crystal
Adding a 2nd pic. This one shows off the color more accurately (not my pic):

Quoted from cconway84:So how often are people using watches for pinball trades or vice versa? Any stories?
I've only done it indirectly. Sold a pinball machine to buy a watch, and sold a watch to buy a pinball machine.
Quoted from cconway84:So how often are people using watches for pinball trades or vice versa? Any stories?
Been trying to trade one of my Citizen eco drives for a pinball machine but no takers so far...
Just got back an old favorite yesterday. Before my pin addiction, I was hooked on watches. Several years back, I had this LE Breitling Chronomat with the light colored subdials. I sold it and immediately regretted it.(partially because the buyer tried to scam me.) That transaction kinda soured me on watches for some time. The other day, I was playing around on some sales sites and found another LE Chronomat. The one I had first was for the US which had the light subdials. This one I just picked up is the Japan LE which has the darker subdials. I think the #'s were 250/US version and 400/Japan version. Only took 3days to reach me from Japan.
I'm glad to have it back. Case size is perfect @43mm and the dial is an amazing MOP that changes so much in different light.
Old and new showing how the color varies...
evo1 (resized).jpgevo2 (resized).jpgevo3 (resized).jpgevo4 (resized).jpgevo5 (resized).jpgLast week my beautiful wife and I were on a well deserved vacation. Our second time to Cozumel in Mexico. First time was a few years ago on a cruise, loved the vibe of the place for that one day, enough we knew we’d like to come back there for a longer trip. So in addition to Tulum (awful place, don’t ever need to return), and Chichen Itza (simply AMAZING!), we spent one perfect week on the beautiful island of Cozumel.
One day we were cruising the local markets, buying some souvenirs for people back home. It was the only day we really spent much time in the “tourist area”. We were walking by a Tag Heuer dealer and I told my wife the honest to God truth that all I wanted to do was go in and look at them. She had other ideas in mind…. I tried on a new Formula 1 with a nice colored face, but I already have a Gulf edition Formula 1 (as my screen name suggests I’m a massive sports car racing fan, so I’m all about anything with the Gulf livery), so I went to look at other things.
I’ve lusted after a Monaco Gulf edition for many, many years, it’s the watch I’ve always wanted. They had one on display and were happy to let me try it on. I try it on and my wife surprises me by saying that she insists on buying it for me! I could never justify buying it for myself. She’s dead set on it and pulls her card out. But the strangest thing happened. Once it was on my wrist I honestly didn’t really care that much for it. I like to think of myself as a simple guy and it just felt too dressy for me. I imagined having it and then never wearing it. So I put it back where it was.
Ended up finding one I immediately fell in love with. I love rubber watch bands, and have always wanted one showing the internal mechanism and gears. So my amazing wife gifts me with this beautiful Carrera. Since this was our first proper vacation in over two years she wanted to make it memorable, and she certainly did!
Thought it might look nice with my Star Wars, so that’s where I decided to take the photos of it. Hope you guys like it as well!

Is it all quartz or do the hands move with a mechanical movement?

Where did you get the Nixie Watch? I googled and just found and Etsy seller. That is really cool looking.
Quoted from Nokoro:Is it all quartz or do the hands move with a mechanical movement?
It's all quartz and hands are motorized.
Quoted from RyanStl:Where did you get the Nixie Watch? I googled and just found and Etsy seller. That is really cool looking.
Very Cool. I think I might have to buy one.

If it wasn't quartz, I'd have it already....
Quoted from spfxted:I don't see how you tell time on it....
Was wondering the same. Does it alternate hours and minutes?

There's a page that tells you how.... Scroll all the way to the bottom
I have a couple more questions. Why did you choose this site over any of the Etsy sellers? Also, does it only display the time when a button is pushed or does it stay on all the time?

I have Bought off Tokyo Flash before good quality and yes you have to press a button you would kill the battery in about an hour powering Nixie tubes. No watch with Nixie tubes will stay on all the time they would require a battery that you would have to carry in your pocket and only be good for maybe 8 hours. This watch says about 1 month of normal use with each charge but if you are showing everyone about 2-3 weeks.
I'd been wanting a flieger watch for a while now, and I identified that I wanted a model from one of the original five manufacturers. Stowa seemed ideal for me as they've got a lot of options and have modernized the case design in ways I find more comfortable. Only trouble with Stowa is they sell direct and thus rarely do sales. Every year they do an Advent Calendar sale which they use to clear out watches they built to display at events. One day, one new watch type for sale (quantity available varies of course).
I'd say about half the sales were Type A fliegers. Which makes sense, it is a design far more suited for modern purposes and thus I imagine demand is much higher. I wanted a Type B though. They finally had those on sale about two days before the event ended. Took over a month to actually receive it. I find it way more comfortable than my prior pilot watch though.

Excellent choice. STOWA type B was my #1 flieger choice too. Did you go for the hand-wind option?

Yeah, that makes sense. I see some come with motion sensors to activate like a FitBit. I think I know what I'm getting for my B-day this year.

Bravo! That exact flieger and configuration is my #1 as well. So if you ever get tired of it...

Mike. Thanks and hope all is well. I think I tried in the past. I don't think I have enough activity on the forum to post for sale ads. I lurk there a lot but don't post. I will try again. Thanks, Ant
