So I just picked up one of these:
Aevum Apex GT 2 (resized).jpgAevum Apex GT 2 (resized).jpg

Aevum Apex GT. Seiko NH35A Automatic movement with hacking and 40hr reserve. Sapphire Crystal w/antireflective coating. Ceramic bezel that can be used to track a 2nd time zone. C1 Superluminova markers & 100M water resistance. Limited to 50 pieces per color (orange or blue) - $300 Canadian (Approximately $238 US).

I got the orange with black strap but it also comes in blue:
Aevum Apex GT Blue (resized).jpgAevum Apex GT Blue (resized).jpg

If anyone is interested they are available here (but nearly sold out) - https://www.aevumtime.ca/Inside-NA-offline.html

Thats not the limited edition blue lagoon tho.

I want that bright blue one.

I promise to wear it into the ocean in April lol

Appreciate the links tho mang. I might dig deeper into those submariner homages you posted a while back.

here is one that reminds me of a pinball machine's inner working....bulova's accutron spaceview. I just had a new custom band created which I think works out nicely.

I have a question for all you watch guys. My new Tissot sits on my wrist wrong and I'm not sure how, or if I can, fix it. It doesn't sit in the center of my wrist. I keeps wanting to move to the back. Any way I can manipulate the band? It's getting on my nerves.

It's hard to see in the picture, but it's definitely not in the center of my wrist.

I different band should do it. Maybe a "short" band that is a little more even on both ends. There are people on eBay that will make bands too custom lengths.

Hard to tell in the picture (and pics can be deceiving) but the lugs don't extend beyond your wrist do they?

Nice looking Spaceview. Is it and original or conversion?

They do not.

How would I know what band to buy without being able to wear it before purchase?

An easy thing to try is reverse the bands. The clasp will close in the opposite direction and the buckle may not be centered but watches that have this issue sit better on the wrist for me.

It also happens when the band is too stiff. Try breaking in the band a little.

The band looks brand new to me. Is it?

The band almost appears vertical at the lugs? If so, this will relax and should soon provide the feel you are looking for.

#1514 6 years ago

The watch is only a few weeks old and I only wear it a few times a week, so the band is pretty new. I've never owned a nice band before, so maybe the higher quality ones take longer to break in that other do?

Good catch. I didn't really even look at it that way. On the back when it comes off the lugs it's pretty much vertical. On the front, there is more of a curve. I'm wondering if I can shift it's position on the pillow in my watch case and get a little more curve to it.

All my other watches (except one) have metal bands.

Just manually bend it with your hands. It will break-in.

Picked this up from the watchmaker after a good polish. Got it for a steal. Love the 41mm size and the blue face. Worried I may be turning into an Omega snob.....

Nothing? No discount Spring Drives or Marine Master Autos? Or even a bargain Prospex?

Not a snob but the only Seiko watch I ever liked (and purchased) was my Seiko Velatura direct drive in stainless. Kind of a stepping stone to the Speedmaster

#1523 6 years ago

Never mind...store closed. (Why is it still listed on the website if it's closed?).

How many should they Have or How many should they let there wife know they Bought and for how much? Completely different answer. I knew I had a problem when I started ordering watch cabinets! I think my addiction habits started with Pinball.

I only have one watch BUT...I have 5 different straps that I change on it frequently(rotate out once a week or so). People at work ask me all the time if I got a new watch but it’s just the strap.

Is this like a virtual pin?

True watch fans snub their noses at it, no physical parts?

It's a variant of their Chronospace Military, M7836622, I don't think it is produced any longer.

I have a Glycine automatic that I am going to sell. I’ve never sold a watch before, any suggestions? Should I put it on eBay? Is posting a for sale link here bad form?

Also, I picked this seiko 007 up recently. I love how easy it is to see in the dark

So I'm considering heresy...another smartwatch. I tried a Samsung once and did not like it. I like the look of a real watch. I also don't want to "charge" my stupid watch every day or even every week.

Well they have been coming out with "hybrid" smartwatches for a while now. Most of them suck (design wise) but at least you get a real analog watch face with smart functions thrown in. Then I saw Kronaby hybrid smartwatches: https://www.kronaby.com/

Pricy, but the build quality is there and the designs are nice...some are really nice. I've already seen them a little cheaper on Amazon (limited selection). A nice kicker is the (up to) two year battery life! I like that it keeps the right time showing no matter where you travel to. You have a ton of customizations you can do with the buttons. You can have a button fire your phone camera. You can have button control your music. Of course you get all the notifications you want through various vibration settings. You also get the fitness tracking (if you want) and sleep monitoring. Tons of other options and all customizable...and a watch that looks like a real watch.

Might give one a trial run.

I picked up a Kronaby (Apex). So far I like it..we will see if the "smart" functions are actually useful or useless. I think the watch itself looks great. I've already got it set up to play my music with the upper pusher, show the date with the middle pusher and take a picture with the bottom pusher. It notifies me of incoming calls (that I can refuse with a push of the bottom pusher), text messages and appointment reminders from my calendar.

if you’re in the market with a limited budget but want to feel the titanium technology on your wrist, then you might consider one of the best seiko watches for men — the SGG711 Titanium watch. It is geared with many awesome features and designed to compliment your sense of style. In addition, it includes a 40 mm titanium case and a stationary bezel all crafted from strong and light-weight titanium to provide a more luxurious feel and look.

Hi all. Looking to trade a mint Rolex Deep Sea for a pin. Putting a value of $9,000 on the watch. That is pretty much what mint newer (last few years) Deep Seas sell for on Timezone Showcase. Just ask Pinside from Timezone. LOL.

Pins I would be interested in plus or minus cash are:
TZ
TAF
IJ TPA
Iron Maiden Premium or LE
Batman 66
Houdini
Hobbit
Aerosmith Premium or LE
Stern Star Wars Premium or LE
and Walking Dead Premium or LE.

Let me know. Thanks,Ant

And wouldn't it be called a timepiece not just a watch?
