I've looked at those but they are too big for me.

It's a George Foreman Grill!

It's a unique and good looking watch. The size really isn't a problem. It's really the weight! The watch has the tendency to submarine. It's also not a watch that you can quickly glance at to see the time, particularly in the dark.
This thread is very informative and I have learned a great deal about the watch hobby via these pages. No real great ones here, a nice g shock and citizen eco drive. I have been impressed with the quality and mostly the durability of both to take a beating. I would scratch the mess out of any nice watch hence I don't have one.
Again thanks for sharing

Does the dry night indicator let you know if you've wet the bed?
On a serious note though, the distributor for sevenfriday here is run by a local car dealership (they are more than just cars) and I really like them. Just tapped out financially for the last little while.

I'll be frank. The watch is innovative and well manufactured but it's a pain to read the time (that's part of thr attraction I guess). It's top-heavy and large. If you have a large wrist you'll be fine. My wrist is 6 1/2 inches and the watch tends to submarine a lot.

I'm large. I can handle it, just can't afford it right now.
Anyone hiring? I'll relocate.
Recently acquired my first automatic mechanical watch after a conversation with Kratogen got me thinking. All my other watches are set-and-forget perpetual quartz or high accuracy digital. It occurred to me that since I have trouble reading those small date windows anyway, just setting the time on a dateless mechanical (if it stops) would not be a big deal.
I like that the jump hour complication is a little different than my other watches but still easy to read.

Quoted from Meegis:I want a Franck Muller crazy hour..... Now that's a. Awesome mechanism.

Neat looking at first glance, probably difficult to read and not so crazy as it first appears. The hour just jumps five spots instead of one.

That Perrelet is gorgeous!
I have a Breitling Bentley Flying B. Similar complication, but different presentation.
Holy shit y'all must have really small wrists or those are some BIG watches. Wait... them ain't watches they're grandfather clocks.
Quoted from JONESDS:Trying to figure out if this rally strap, I usually have on my speedy, works with this old 16013.
to your question both work but I like the metal band better

Someday I'll have an A. Lange & Sohn! Got any leads?

I bought my Langematik with date from Paladin in NY almost a decade ago. His price was the best I could find for a NIB Lange with papers.

Not much to say. Had a Submariner but always liked the look of the Pepsi gmt so traded the submariner and some $$ on the Pepsi. Came with all books and box.
Quoted from manitouguy:Some amazing watches here guys ! Thanks for posting - this is obviously not even in the same league but I love it - was my grandpa's - from the 50's??
I'd love to know make and model but haven't been succesful yet
Clean and simple design
Closest thing I would find was a 1965 wrist alarm. Same style but obviously with a second function.
Nothing else close though. Sorry.
If you have time, scroll through this listing, might get lucky: http://www.mybulova.com/bulova-models-1950s
Looks like it could be a Sea King, possibly from the 60's. Anything on the back? Can you open it up and get a pic?
Again thanks - watchophilia.com is the bulova info site I was recalling - - very good one
I was trying to decipher the number on case back from that ...
My guess.....it's from the mid to late 60's, 1964+ but not past 70.
I only see serial numbers starting with a 1-XXX in those years. Inside should tell us the exact year.
Quoted from ToucanF16:Wearing the Nomos today! Guess where I'm at?
Sweet! I love Nomos and I love how the home time disc floats over the world time zone disc. Kanpai!
Quoted from Astropin:I've got a Seiko Prospex GMT Diver incoming. It's a beast at 47.5mm but thankfully only has a 51mm lug to lug so I should be able to (just) pull it off. Looks like it's going to take a while to get here so here's a pic off the web.
Lots of bang for the buck with that one!
Quoted from txstargazer3:Lots of bang for the buck with that one!
Especially since I got it BNIB for $170 and being shipped from Seiko!!
Quoted from manitouguy:Ok - so I think code 'mo' inside case is for year 1960 and I think the 'afc' was for movements 1959-1961
Now maybe I can discover the 'model' from 1960
Nice! The movement looks great. You may never find the exact model (maybe contact Bulova directly with all the info you have). I still think it's some version of the Sea-King......or Sea something. MO is definitely 1960.
Quoted from ToucanF16:Look what just arrived in the mail from a watch enthusiast in England today...
OMEGA 1300 Electriquartz f8192Hz Beta21 1970.
cool!
