Hi,
did someone swap the original Pin2k PC for a new PC with VGA graphics card , while keeping the otiginal monitor which is CGA?

I found a lot of information concerning the replacement of the CGA-Monitor to a flatscreen where the GBS-8200 is used.
But I did not find any example of a VGA-PC sending his video to the old CGA-CRT.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hey there!

Take a look at the ArcadeVGA card from Ultimarc. Generally it'll swap right into a modern PC but still be able to communicate with lower resolution monitors.

The GBS-8100 Video Converter Board should also work. It converts VGA to CGA.

I did find the GBS-8100 card on the net, but I'm not sure if the technical data fits the original Pinball2000 Monitor.

Here a link to the 8100 manual:

Thanks for the Ultimarc link.

In the Ultimarc shop I found the
BreakOut Cable :

My Pin2k monitor is a Wells Gardner, would this BreakOut Cable do the job for connecting the VGA-PC to the Wells Gardner Monitor?
