Dining room table unless my wife is home.

Dining room table. If my wife is home, kitchen bench as well. She does not want any of her pinball parts to be put on the floor.

Not a workbench per se, but just picked this up at Lowes on sale for $99. Wanted something on the smaller size to make it easy to move out to the pins. I plan on mounting an outlet strip on the side to make it easy to plug in a soldering iron, etc.

    On sale thru 12/4/2019. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-1000-Series-26-5-in-W-x-32-5-in-H-4-Drawer-Steel-Rolling-Tool-Cabinet-Red/1001098026

Basement table for the bigger parts.

I use the top of the dryer as a tool and parts storage as well as a workbench

I put my pool table cover on, lay a couple old bathroom mats on that and can the restore a coin door or whatever under great light. Lots of space to lay parts out.

I have actually progressed a bit from the dining room table (which we Never use) and have one of these solid wood benches from Harbor freight. When there on sale (everything is Always on sale) you can get one for $80. Plenty of storage, strong, and a simple work area for other hobbies. Good luck.

Here is my work area. Currently a bit of a mess, way too many projects going on at the same time!

My repair room is a mess right now. This is the best pic I have.
I have 2 large tables, a desk and the top of the file cabinets.

Here’s my bench. It’s not in a huge area, but it works well enough.

Here is where I do all my board work and smaller repairs. Otherwise, all other work is done at the machine. I only have room for 1 pin at a time.

It really does. I just have to watch out for rug pissers.

On a side note that rug has seen better days. There are so many solder globs melted into it lol. Still better then working on concrete.

No fancy rugs in my basement but I do have some interesting rare games that I'm working on right now. Sadly, most of them are not mine. Storage area in the back including various types of wood for cabinet repairs Etc.( did professional woodworking for 30 years) adjacent to that, is a secondary work area for Ultrasonic cleaning, evapo-rust stations, Tumblr area that can be put in the root cellar, and rinse station in the original 1950s utility sink. More overflow storage area. The main shop area I created from the back half of the unheated unfinished garage when I move into this place. Custom built the workbenches in various storage areas. It's pretty cozy, but it's amazing what you can do with a small space.
