This is a huge loss to the pinball communitY. I was always hoping this would work out in the end.

Quoted from KozMckPinball:At the beginning of that video there's a Boston Red Sox pin next to the coin dispensing machine near the front desk. Looks like a re-themed EM maybe? Anyone know anything about that? The video is from 2011, before I ever went there.
She has had a couple of sports retheme games there. One of them was a Flying Carpet EM. There is a local guy that does the rethemes.
And I'm thinking of trying to squeeze in a couple hours up there tomorrow. I don't have the time, but it's my last time there, so I'll figure it out. One last Suppa sub.
Quoted from Luppin:Is it closing because it does not work from a financial viewpoint, or for other reasons?
Her lease was up, and for the renewal, the landlord wanted to jack up the price to an unsustainable level. I've heard double, but I've heard less. Actual information is hard to come by because different people hear different things. However, it seems the massive price increase was accurate. Negotiations failed, and everyone loses.
The reason negotiations like that fail is that one party insists they can do better. The landlord thinks he can make more money from the space, so this was really done from the start.
Quoted from nate1981s:What is the deal giving only one day notice!!? A month is typical and if even a few weeks you would have seen a lot of traffic. I would have visited for example.

It has been discussed here, Tilt, Facebook, and most likely RGP (but I haven't been there in ages).
The hard part about this is that we will never see another place like this in our area. L&G was great for the newest Stern, and PW was great for everything else. I didn't get up there often enough, but when I had time it was always a great way to drop $20 in tokens. I'd play and play. Paragon would steal a bunch of tokens, I'd even play games I own because a different copy is always interesting. Then as I neared the end of the afternoon I'd plan my token drops so it was even. Was 6 tokens two games on Tron, or was it a game of EBD followed by WOZ? Decisions needed to be made! Was lunch Suppa's, or was it play half the tokens, and then off to Bertuccis at the mall up the road, followed by the rest of the tokens after.
PW just can't be replaced and it's a bummer it's gone. Sarah did an awesome job of providing us a place like that to play.
