Good or bad: trade a GNR for JP? Both are in very good condition

Data East or Stern? And if Stern - pro, premium, or le?

For the DataEast, hell no! GNR is worth more than twice DEJP

For the stern pro - arguably the GNR owner will be upside down 600-1k vs selling outright.

For a stern premium - fair trade IMO.

For a stern LE - LE owner upside down 1k

    It’s DE JP

Please tell me this is a joke. Somebody is trying to take advantage of you. Hope you didn't agree to that trade.

Isnt is really early time to get rid of the GNR. Won’t it spike when Axl or Slash pass away?

Data East GNR is worth at least $1500-2000 more than Data East Jurassic Park if both are in good condition.

GNR is far more valuable than DE JP. Very uneven trade unless at least $2k in cash is added on top.

Here's what GNRs are selling for: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/archive?s=1&ad_machine_key=224

    And DE JP:

I think the $3k+ DE JP's are on the high side. The last few I saw at shows were in the mid $2k range.

Good... if you're getting TWO Data East JPs.

Am I correct about the concept of trades? One situation you do a trade because you just have a machine that you’re not interested in as much as a another machine and so you trade to get the one that you prefer. Two is your trading up by getting a more valuable machine but it’s in a lesser condition so you put some work into it and now you’ve just up’s your game. Is that it?

Most folks use cash to make the values even.

    Trader A has $3000 game and $1000
    Trader B has $4000 game
That's an even trade. Condition dictated the value of the game, then cash squared it all up.

That could be one scenario, yes. There are other reasons and scenarios too.

    WTF?
if i had a JP pro, never i would add money for a GNR, it's the GNR's owner that would need to add money.

OP has not posted again. Makes me think he did that trade.
