I’ve been operating basically modern Sterns only for 4+ years now. There is no way around it, no sugar coating- modern pinball is unequivocally too complicated for non pinheads and even many pinheads- *regardless* of age.
I never feel dumber than when I’m explaining to a newb: “no don’t shoot that ramp now, it isn’t worth any points right now.”
If you actually pay attention to rules, you are fairly rare.
I don’t expect this to change and why would it- pinball sales and demand are thru the roof because it is fun enough for enough of us humans to simply flip the ball.
