If you could have a machine themed after something that missed its chance (i.e. like the guys that did The Matrix), what would it be?

Being 32, I always wanted a Ducktales pin when I was growing up. The theme practically writes itself...

The main goal - Fill up the money bin! Points are $$$. Features and modes like:

    - Launchpad crash landing ramp - "Hang on Mr. Mc D.....Crash! Bang!"
    - Bubba & Tootsie "whack" targets
    - Huey, Dewey, and Louie multi-ball
    - Gyro's repair shed - ball lock for on the fly extra ball
    - Beagle Boys pop up and block spots on playfield
    - Transform Fenton Quackshell into Gizmoduck for a mega bonus
    - A Magica De Spell mode that tries to screw you up by flipping around flipper controls randomly
    - A Flintheart Glomgold steal-mode that takes money out of the bin/your score if you fail to reach something before him
    - Save Webby

I could go on for a while with this one. I considered mocking something up in VP, but never got around to it.

Ghostbusters comes to most people's minds (how did they not?)
Goonies (take indiana jones adventure, switch out the toys)
Bill & Ted's excellent adventure (lots of tubes for the ball to go into, including subways)
    Gremlins
    Beetlejuice
    Diehard
    Beverly hills cop
Predator (ok so at least this is finally happening)

Harry Potter for sure !! While I have never read any of the books, and am not a huge fan "enjoyed the movies", there are almost limitless possibilities. The author has stated there will never be a pin of it since pinball machines are located in "seedy" establishments.

Masters of the Universe! (Think of the Art!)

Yeah, I hear ya. I might actually take it as a compliment if someone ever called my basement seedy.

I really think all the manufactures missed the boat on Toy Story back in the mid 90's. The Incredibles would make a fun theme too. Even though I'm 47 I really like most of the Pixar stuff!

Rockstar made that into a PS2 game. It would be a sick pin theme.

    Aliens
I always thought the older Kung Fu movies would have been great or Japanamation cartoons like Fist of the northstar.

Laser War could be re-themed Running man by literally just changing the Translight and sound effects and swapping out the ION cannon for that little tube thing they go through. I honestly considered it too.

Yes! By Jersey Jack. Sign me up.

    #24 10 years ago

Battlestar Galactia. I would prefer the orginial theme over the newer ones. I also like the op idea of Ducktales. I loved that cartoon!

Yes, but the Rockstar game just didn't do the Title justice like the pin would. I do like the game cover for a back glass image? the-warriors.jpgthe-warriors.jpg or THE-WARRIORS-v3.jpgTHE-WARRIORS-v3.jpg
    Maybe side art? warriors-cover-1__span.jpgwarriors-cover-1__span.jpg

Drop a quarter to start the game to the phrase: "Warriors come out and play" You as the player represent the gang Warriors. Now use your bats "flippers" to to travel around New york "the ball'
Object of the game is to find all your missing members from through out the city and get them home, Must beat all rival gangs along the way
    Wonder wheel Multi ball (3)
Gang battle quick Multi ball (2)
Drop targets to take down rival gang members

    The A-team series.

    Was very popular here.

Planes, trains, and automobiles! Think of the mods that you could make for it. Flaming car multiball. Trap the ball in Steve Martins crotch for multiball. The DMD displays his facial expression from the movie. You have to earn enough shower curtin rings to advance your modes. Hop the people train in Stubbville. Lessin you're a hog or a cattle Jackpot! Endless possibilities!

    Quoted from BigB:

    Planes, trains, and automobiles!

I agree, as long as there is an adult mode to allow cursing

    #31 10 years ago

Tora,Tora.Tora,,,just think a playfield with battleships that could be sunk like the MM castle and subs popping up out of the playfield launching balls.

    #32 10 years ago

    Caddyshack.

    #33 10 years ago

    Rambo
    Forrest Gump

    Save the Titantic

    #35 10 years ago

I always thought a Scooby-Doo or Johnny Quest pin ( based on the 60's cartoons ) would have been kinda cool.

    #36 10 years ago

    Army of Darkness, Nuff said

    #37 10 years ago

    Where's Waldo??

    #38 10 years ago

A Bally WWF (WWE) game (DE one isnt very good). I still think Stern should do a "Legends of the WWE" game with both 70,80,90 characters. Dont care about WWE now but when i was a kid i was a huge fan.

    #39 10 years ago

I'm surprised there never was a Planet of the Apes pin. That franchise was hot, back in the day.

    #41 10 years ago

Monty Python and the Holy Grail would be epic!

    Sir Robins run away mode
A little fuzzy rabbit toy that has a bloody mouth for a ball lock
The knights that say Nii multiball
Every time you plunge a ball it plays the coconut horse sound
    Defeat the black knight mode
    The bridge of eternal peril
And last but not least - the taunting knights multiball or wizard mode

    Epic I tell you. Epic!

Edit, I'd probably make the bridge of peril the wizard mode now that I think harder about it. I would totally buy this pin!
