    Quoted from MikeS:

Rockstar is worth billions of dollars and they have thousands of employees/programmers. They would probably license the game to Stern for free and write it off in their 20-30 million advertising budget

    That is an interesting idea.

Another reason that the Rockstar Games idea makes so much sense is that these themes (GTA, Red Dead, LA Noire, etc.) are basically licensed "unlicensed themes" that would please all the people that have been clamoring for an unlicensed title. The advantage being that these titles already have a great story, music, artwork, etc. all completed already as well as they are known and loved by millions of fans. It would be as if Stern or Jersey jack were to license "Attack From Mars" and make a sequel. Of course, all of this would depend on whether or not Rockstar would go along with the idea. But it definitely wouldn't hurt to ask!

    This will happen!

Really hope they can get some original actor quotes in like Spock, Kirk etc......would be great to a Star Trek through the ages. Would be a massive seller.

    I'd love this.

That would be pretty creepy ...

"Open the pod bay doors, HAL."
    "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that."

Gives me chills just thinking about it.

I don't know, the sounds might get annoying after a while. Don't get me wrong, loved the show in it's prime, but even watching the dozen or so new episodes mike judge released in the last 6 months.. Well, it was sorta fun, but not like I remembered it.

A lot of good ideas here. I love the Lebowski and Pulp Fiction ideas. I'm not real original in my themes I'd love to see.

    1. Elvira #3 , I've mentioned this more than I can count.

    2. Big trouble in little China. Literally has everything you could want. "INDEED"!!!!!

    3. Any of the Evil Dead movies, would make my day.

Any of these themes would warrant a NIB.

    The walking dead zombie theme

I watched the Big Lebowski again last night. There's a treasure trove of sound bites and ideas in that movie for making a pin. I could see this being a fan demanded favorite like Tron. I could see a spinning rug in the center of the playfield, "it would really tie the room together." It could stop periodically at: a guy peeing on it, marmot in the tub, head in the toilet, him listening to his cassette player on it, triping over the nailed board by the door, etc. In a fan layout, the shots could include: center shot to a hole behind some dangling bowling pins with bowling sounds; ramp to search for bunny with Viva Las Vegas music; ramp to Jackie Treehorn's beach house; a Vietnam ball lock for triggering something obnoxious from Walter; and maybe a model of his car as a bash toy. Maybe a drop target with a callout of "Shutup Donnie." A hurryup mode for paying the ransom with call outs of him revealing he's not alone and plenty of unanswered phone ringing. Pop bumper action could alternate using call outs from his various ass whoopings: chief of police of malibu, the german gang, Treehorns enforcers, Maude's enforcers, etc. "The Dude Abides" multi-ball and "The Dude" wizard mode or vice versa. Anyway, the ideas are endless.

    #69 12 years ago

Army of Darkness (one liner call outs would be classic)

    +2 for Mad magazine

    #70 12 years ago

    How about a Dr.Suess themed pin...Cat-in-the-Hat?

    #71 12 years ago

Dante's Inferno could definitely be awesome, as well as MAD Magazine.

    Also this:

Not to mention it would be a perfect fit for bowling alleys, it would really pull the room together would it not.
Tilt warning: "Careful man, there's a beverage here."
mini PF = Treehorn's Terrace " I like your style Jackie."
Complete a mode Donny says "I'm rollin' rocks tonight."
Ball kickout "Stay out of Malibu deadbeat."
    Nihilist drop target "Anti Semite."
Rollovers, collect the vodka, Kahlua and cream "You make a mean Caucasian Jackie."
Of course some kind of bowling toy in the center and a family mode.

    It's like Lenin said...
    I am the walrus?
    STFU Donny.

The songs are classic for the sound bites.
No way Stern would make this title, maybe JJ?
If it is ever made I am in for a NIB.

Or how about a cheesy B movie Kung Fu Pin, Master of the Flying Guillotine?

"He's ready to blow your mind"

    #75 12 years ago

    So many great Ideas

    Kung Fu
    Army of Darkness
    Mad Magazine
    Donte's Inferno

    Probably some others
I would be very interested in seeing these made.

    #76 12 years ago

Yeah big lebowski is a no brainer.. Especially since, at least around here, bowling alleys are the last haven for pinball machines on route. I thought i saw something a year or two ago about somebody doing a retheme. Seems like a strikes and spares would be a good candidate.

    #77 12 years ago

There was a custom TBL made but I can't remember what game was converted for it.

    Sometimes there's a pinball... I won't say a great pinball, 'cause, what's a great
pinball? But sometimes, there's a pinball. And I'm talkin' about the TBL
here. Sometimes, there's a pinball, well, it's the pinball for it's time
and place. It fits right in there. And that's TBL pin in Los
Angeles. And even if it is a strange pin - and the BL is most certainly
that. Quite possibly the strangest in Los Angeles County, which would
place it high in the runnin' for strangest worldwide. But sometimes
there's a pin, sometimes, there's a pin... Aw, I lost my train of
thought here. But... aw, hell. I've done introduced it enough.

    #78 12 years ago

    wow here i go:

    a bruce lee pin
    jackie chan

    anything zombie

Being a big anime/manga fan, I's love to see a Trigun pin, based on the manga. Having to fight through the 13 Gung-ho Guns to the final Wizard mode against Knives.

Awesome characters and fantastic art would really make this pin.

    That's my dream....

You know me. I like the old stuff. FORBIDDEN PLANET would be outstanding! Robby the Robot, spaceship, Id Monster, beautiful girl. AFM on steroids! Or WAR OF THE WORLDS...the good George Pal one! Same thing...super-cool manta spaceships, Martians. Or THE TIME MACHINE...again George Pal....Time Machine, Morlocks, beautiful women. 3 NIB's for meeeee!

    #87 12 years ago

My other offering is Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy... OK, BBB is close, but not exactly this... the main voice would have to be Marvin, the paranoid android... 'brain the size of a planet and all you want me to do is add another jackpot score times three...' etc

    #88 12 years ago

I would like to see a 4chan machine. You could have all the different boards as modes with /b/ being the wizard mode and all hell breaks loose. Plenty of artwork to be used. Hell if its a modern game the back glass animations would be easy and plentiful as well.

    #89 12 years ago

Somebody needs to make a good James Bond pin.

    #90 12 years ago
    Quoted from PwninShiznat:

Being a big anime/manga fan, I's love to see a Trigun pin

Yeah, for the three/five people that love pinball and anime AND Trigun on here...
    Hopes and dreams my friend.

    #92 12 years ago

How bout three stooges? Has that been memtioned. I'm sure the new movie will be less than great bit I would think the sound bites would be awesome. Plus the stooges have been around for a while.

    #93 12 years ago
    Quoted from MES:

Johnny Quest. Invisible monster, crazy nazi pilot, lizard men, mummy, yeti, volcano, hovercraft, robot spider, jets, subs etc. Lots of villains and locations to put into the game.
    Also great music

+1 for Johnny Quest - my favorite cartoon as a kid. I think it would make a great pin!

    #94 12 years ago

If not the sci-fi stuff, yes, 3 Stooges would be great! Nyuk nyuk nyuk

    #96 12 years ago

I saw a link a day to two ago about a group of Spanish pinball designers comign up with a game based on "Captian Nemo" I think? 30,000 leagues under the Sea and some other literary themes would make for some really cool pins. Moby Dick would be another one.
I think someone already mentioned time travel in an earlier post. Not sure if anyone remembers the 1980s Terry Gilliam movie, Time Bandits, but something like that would be fun!

Aside from that, I'm pretty stoked about BHZA as a theme

    #97 12 years ago

pinkim, In Ohio Jersey Jack explained exactly why he wanted to do a Stooges pin, he also explained exactly why he wouldn't and why it was a bad idea.

Almost is about as close as you'll ever get for those stooges, unless there's a resurgance of Iggy and the Stooges and Stern will jump right on that band theme.

    #99 12 years ago

so 30,000 would be an even better pin LOL!

    #100 12 years ago

Chronicles of Riddick would make a good pin theme, and there's supposedly a new Riddick movie on the horizon.
