    I don't do house calls unless it's someone I was going to hang out with anyway and we're going to work on the machines while we shoot the shit, and anyone in that situation I'm just not going to charge. If it's in my shop I've been charging $30 an hour, which I know is way too cheap but I'm often doing it for exposure to new titles or technology more than to make any money. Generally I have enough of my own projects to keep me busy too, so even a paid job is only being done as a favour to someone I have an existing relationship with, which informs the low price.
