I find myself having to replace some diodes on an early solid state machine that someone had previously removed (who knows why) and one that was broken, and I'm thinking - I wonder which way round they go? Fortunately, a kind poster directs me to this post.
Thus proving that old posts never die, they just wait around until they're handy again.
