I can't find the Maiden topper on their website. How much is it? I never thought I'd regret a Laseriffic topper purchase before.

Recently I installed two mods created by Vireland from Pinside. Vireland created color filters to change the appearance of the LEDS in the game. The two mods were installed on an Iron Maiden and Metallica pinball machine.

TEXAS PINBALL 2019 FESTIVAL UNVEILS NEW AND PREVIOUSLY RELEASED TITLES : VIDEO WALK – THRU
I will say it was great seeing all my old friends and also meeting new ones this year. The show is not all about playing games. Socializing and talking pinball are some of the other things I do at all shows while attending. Thanks to everyone who brought games to the show for the free play area. I give those people much credit for packing up a machine and letting the public have a go with the game. Without these people, pinball shows would not exist. Thanks again.

In this video we show how 3D printing will help the pinball hobby by producing parts that may no longer be available. I show how to print a FunHouse and Road Show eye link for the animated heads in the game that is no longer available for purchase. We also go over the fundamentals of 3D printing and the printer itself. Parts on my printer have been made by printing 3D elements shared in the 3D printer community.
My Blog post has all the links to the parts that were purchased for the printer and also links to the downloadable files for the pinball and printer parts.

In this video, we review the game play and specs of the old Coleco mini arcade games compared to the present models created by companies such as New Wave Toys and also NumSkull Designs. I have in my collection five of the Coleco games which were purchased when I was a child. All the games in my collection are still working which is amazing. Most of the Coleco branded games were created back in 1981 during the arcade boom.
Check out the blog post for more pics and the instruction manual to each of the Coleco games created in the early 80's.

STERN BATMAN 66 AND IRON MAIDEN TOPPERS : REVIEW AND INSTALL : VIDEO
Recently I installed the Batman 66 and Iron Maiden toppers on my games. The two toppers look great and were easy to install. The Batman 66 topper seems like it is just a lit up topper with no interaction with the game. The Iron Maiden topper seems like it interacts with certain modes in the game by lighting up certain parts of the topper.
Batman 66 topper is designed around the criminals of the game. The artwork seems like it is copied from the play field to the topper. The characters are at the forefront of the topper where a cityscape is towards the back. The batman logo is also in the center of the topper. LED strip lights cover the front and middle to illuminate the characters on the topper.
The Iron Maiden topper is designed more towards the LE pinball machine. The topper has Eddy flying a fighter plane that resembles the artwork on the sides of the LE cabinet. The cockpit, guns, and back drop all light up on the topper during certain modes.

We also try to figure out why Fuse 109 keeps blowing when playing the game. Fuse 109 controls some of the flashers on the playfield in the game. Also I show a makeshift fuse that you can reset instead of wasting regular fuses when trying to figure out the flasher issue.

PINBALL SHOW : PINFEST 2019 WALKTHRU : ALLENTOWN PENNSYLVANIA
Pinfest 2019 has come and gone once again. Another great show and with some great games to be played. Only two new titles were released and present at the show this year (Willy Wonka and Stern’s Black Knight). Thanks to the great pinball distributors for bringing the new games and allowing them to be played.
This year, many people attended the show. The line to get in wrapped around the parking lot like a serpent. It seemed like more people than other past years either because the crowd was larger and more people are getting into the hobby or because the facility only had one ticket booth open compared to prior years that had two taking your $20 cash only at the door. Maybe in upcoming years the organizers may want to take pre-sales on the Internet for ticket purchasing to the show.

PINBALL TECH : TWILIGHT ZONE RIGHT UPPER FLIPPER FLASHER LOCKED ON : VIDEO REPAIR
While playing my Twilight Zone pinball machine the other day, I noticed some smoke starting to come from the playfield. I quickly turned off the machine and removed the glass. First thing I can notice is that the plastic right above the right upper flipper looked melted. Looking more closely at that area, I was able to see a burn mark in the plastic and figured a bulb had locked on underneath causing the damage.

I had the pleasure to take a look at the new 3d hologram topper created by Lighted Pinball Mods. The topper allows you to install photos and videos on a micro SD card to view through the hardware. I recently installed the Iron Maiden ramp decals created by Tilt Graphics. The decal installation went fairly easy after negotiating the curves and imperfections of the ramps.
The decal material is made of the heavy vinyl that is used for the game blades that can be purchased from Tilt Graphics as well. The graphics and theme of the decals really fit into the Iron Maiden pinball world. Tilt Graphics makes great products for the pinball community.

BIG LAW LIGHTED CAT MOD INSTALL AND VIDEO : STERN BATMAN 66
Recently I installed the Lighted Cat Mod created by Big Law from Pinside. The mod consists of two sculpted cats – platforms, and wiring harness for power. Each cat has LED’s in the chest and eye area that light up constantly or when an led is lit under the playfield. You can have the LED’s light on and off using Big Law’s switch that is used on his spinning copter mod. The LED’s that light on and off when a insert is triggered was my preference when installing the mod. The mod gets power in two ways using two different harnesses.

ADDAMS FAMILY PINBALL : 3D BOOKCASE MOD : CREATION AND INSTALLATION VIDEO
Had this one in the archives. This is the bookcase mod for Addams Family pinball. The files can be downloaded from Thingiverse.com and printed on a 3D printer. The files are in a format of .stl which can be opened in a program called Ultimaker Cura which is free to download.

Thanks! Great video.
Does it obstruct your view though of skill shot or vault shot? Looks very tall.
Thanks Delt, hope you have been well with everything going on in the world.
It does not obstruct in my opinion the shot into the vault. Also where i stand playing the game I can also see the two lights on the book mod behind the bookcase mod.
For the price and work that it takes to put into the bookcase its worth a try even if you don't like it after being installed. After the installation of the bookcase mod it has not hindered my gameplay at all. Its such an easy mod to install or remove if you don't like it.
Thanks for watching the video.

MEDIEVAL MADNESS ROYAL EDITION INSTALLS : DMD, TOPPER, RGB LIGHTING
YouTube Video :
Recently my friend and I installed factory updates to the MMR pinball machine made available from Chicago Gaming. The updates make transforms the game into the Royal Edition.
The Updates Consist Of The Following :
King of Payne Topper
Larger DMD Panel
Larger Subwoofer
RGB GI Lighting
Back Panel LED
PCB Board Install
The process for all the installs took around 4-5 hours. You need to drill holes in the cabinet and head for the topper and also the subwoofer. Also you need to remove all the GI lighting in the game and replace it with the color changing GI lighting provided in the kit. Everything looks great after the installations of all the mods. I would say that the installs should be performed by someone who has knowledge of repairing pinball machines. Many hardware pieces need to be replaced on the game if you purchase all three kits.

Recently my friend Joe received his Avenger’s Infinity Quest LE pinball machine. We unboxed the game and reviewed the artwork of the cabinet – playfield. The game plays really well. Gameplay is really smooth and added with Keith Elwin’s signature shots makes Avengers really fun.
The artwork by Zombi Yetti are fantastic. I am not much of a comic book or super hero fan, but the graphics – illustrations on the playfield and cabinet are stellar.
I do not really know much about the rules, but the code programmed into the game so far seems very fun. I am sure Avengers will be more fun when I learn the code and what targets I need to shoot for to advance in the game.

Just installed my Snack Bar mod for The Creature From the Black Lagoon pinball machine. The mod consists of the actual snack bar mod and also an added lighting source provided by Stumblor called the Move Your Snack Bar Mod.
The Snack Bar Mod was created by Jady Swinks. This mod is his fifth revision and possibly his last. It looks great and the install was really easy. The design and materials used in the mod are durable and strong. The install for this mod didn’t take longer than 20 minutes. The revisions to the fifth edition have been greatly improved. Better materials used in the mod and also a magnet locking system to secure the mod to the mount on the playfield. No more using screws to tighten everything down on the mod.

Recently I obtained my copy of Keeping the Ball Alive book. The item was started as a Kickstarter project about three years ago by two guys named Dameon and Joesph. After years of struggles and additional money needed for the project, the book was finally released and shipped.
The book looks pretty good. The paper used for the pages is of good quality, thick with a nice sheen. The pictures and artwork used for the photos are of decent quality. The content covers the beginnings of Stern to the last game of Aerosmith.

Thanks, nice review of the book! I'm glad you showed the different sections as it actually looks better than I was expecting based on snippets people have shown.
Why is there a couple posts about the book and tons of other stuff with this thread made 4 years ago? Is this a new trend I've scene with STDM with changing thread title to fit the new thing being talked about?
Quoted from RyanStl:Why is there a couple posts about the book and tons of other stuff with this thread made 4 years ago? Is this a new trend I've scene with STDM with changing thread title to fit the new thing being talked about?
Well, no its not a new trend if I started doing this four years ago. I would say that is far from new. This is a thread dedicated to just my posts on my blog and YouTube channel. I have been doing this for four years now. If someone is interested in just posts on my channel they can just look here.
Damn, I got suckered into thinking this was a giant thread about the Stern book but instead it’s endless links to boring YouTube videos by some wannabe influencer.
