Anyone know of anywhere other than going into the city where I can play some Pinball? Are there tournament leagues here? What's the scene like? Doing some research as I want to open a bar/arcade with a nice variety of Pinball.

There is no pinball scene there. Zilch, beyond home collectors. No locations, no leagues, no tournaments, no nothin'.

I've been asking about this too. As Levi said there is nothing. I know a bunch of people out here that would be interested. Lets start something up. Just PM'd you.

Sorry resurrect an old thread, but thought it better than starting a new one. Any good places to play pinball in LI? I checked pinballmap.com and it was blank, lol. I was born there and going back for xmas. Might need some respite from the family. I'll be staying in garden city, by the mall. If not, what's the place to go in Manhatten. I can probably only hit up one as time will be short.

There’s a few places on Long Island with machines now. This operator has been sticking a game or two at certain places. I’ve been meaning to call him for a list of locations: here’s his info.

The places I do know are:

Triangle pub, Eastport - Ghostbusters pro
Jillys in patchogue - Harley Davidson (stern)
The Tara Inn, port Jefferson- Batman66

I recently added the locations and are waiting for them to post.

Best locations to play are in Brooklyn.

    Figures...hipsters...

Cool thanks, thanks for all the info. I was thinking of going to Dyker Heights to check out the lights, maybe I can go a bit early and play some pinball.

Lol.- there’s no getting around them! They’re keeping the hobby alive and well for the moment in the bar scene.

How many machines are needed for a league/location to be profitable?

Is it solely dependent on amount of players?

I have a location and I’ve known the owner for 15 years.. I’ve been debating buying 2-3 stern pros and putting them at a certain location.

Sunshine has JJP Pirates, so that in itself makes it worth the trip, if you haven't seen that machine in person. (Although I do like the way it was set up at barcade better)

My grandma used to take us to Nunleys all the time in the early 70's. 2 years ago we got to ride the carousel again at the museum.

I believe there's a Pep Boys where it once stood.

    Good times

I wonder if that’s where all of Al’s games ended up.
