Just curious, as I had some engine issues recently, with my motor failing test, it would move to the left then to center and flop back to left. Turned out that opto 2 was flakey opening and closing from vibration, confusing the hall sensor. Have you checked the opto board in switch test to see if the optos are solidly opening and closing. FYI I have early run game with no centering pot board.
