Looking for someone in Northern Calif or Medford Oregon area that can service my Stern Hot Hand Pinball.

    #2 13 years ago

By Northern Calif you mean way up by the border?

    #3 13 years ago

Crescent City, way north on the Oregon border, on the coast

I'm more towards the center. The only guy I know that does house calls is in Rocklin.

The only thing I can suggest is calling him. He might know someone in your area that does repair.

Well I contacted Tom Callahan (?) as previously recommend and conducted some test he recommended as the f4 fuse kept burning out. I disconnected j2 and the fuse continued to burn out. In fact I disconnected j1, j2, and j3 at the same time and fuse still burned out. Not sure what the problem is or what test to do next, blew out about 7 fuses, will need to buy more.

    Thanks...

The fuse blew and NONE of the connectors were hooked up to the power control board? That is impossible unless someone hacked in a power wire directly to the board or power supply. Or power is going to the cabinet grounding wire braid.

    Hello,
If the F4 fuse burns without connectors connected, check and change the rectifier Bridge BR3, and test varistor.
