Maybe Ted can hook you up with a part in his next movie.

    I'll fire up the chainsaw....

    Quoted from islandpinball:

If pins went down by 50% across the board (new, old, remakes) then you would see more pins on location. How many people really want to route 8k-15k pinball machines?

You can already route games that cost less than 2k and are loved by pinheads - and Ops don't. The price of new games alone is not the barrier...

    You guys crack me up:

because they are a nightmare on location, constant cleaning repairs etc

I do route some inexpensive to very expensive (not quite 8k) machines though

On one side, it's great that they are remaking the games as it shows the hobby is alive and well. I always justified my pinball purchases as a guilt free hobby, as the games always appreciated. I like the collectibility aspect, trying to figure out which games will go up more than others.
This whole thing about remaking games, makes the games worth much less. I stocked up in high end titles because I ran out of space. Now this guy just killed the market. It's a little frustrating. Yes I'm sure it's great for distributors and those who wanted games for less.

That's why you should have been in this hobby for the love of pinball, silly, not for the love of money! Had all of you with most expensive lineups treated this as a beautiful hobby, and not investment opportunity, prices of even A titles wouldn't have risen so high. It's human greed oiled by unrealistic expectation that everything you commit time into just HAS to bring back revenue. Really no reason why steel ball bashing plastic and metal bits in MM should cost as a car/house/whatever while a steel ball bashing plastic and metal bits in Last Action Hero costs near nothing.

This might be the most thumbs down anyone has ever got....I kind of feel bad for the guy. Bet he's thinking why did I bother opening my mouth. Everyone is entitled to there opinion I guess, even those of us that are booing him.

Hey, don't laugh!....at the time, I sold HALF of my collection, got over $4,000 and bought Pinbot, Jurassic Park and Lectronomo...AND had money left over!

Sounds like you got out before the bubble burst on that one. That is crazy, 4K? I wonder what there worth now?

    #315 5 years ago

Oh hell, the other half of my collection is probably worth hundreds...if that!

I miss staging elaborate murder scenes on my female coworkers' desks with those things years and years ago... leaving ransom notes and hiding them in various stages of dismemberment, stabbing them with office supplies and putting ketchup on as fake blood (abusing the color printer and printing out crime scene tape)... oh man. Takes me back! I wish I had some pics but this was before people carried around cameras/phone cameras.
