I have a NIB Ghostbusters Pro being delivered tomorrow that I will be customizing over the next few weeks. This machine is up for grabs if anyone is looking for a Refinery Ghostbusters.

I'm not interested in a pro Steve, but I am curious as to powder coating color option(s) for future PR Ghostbusters premiums. Are you going with the white only or offering a second color too?

#210 7 years ago

I haven't seen a powder color that nails it like the Metallica editions. To be fair slimmer green isn't for me. I'm hoping for something darker like a deep purple or blue. Maybe even a glossy black. Is anyone doing the speaker covers with the GB logo on them?

#211 7 years ago

Is slimmer green a light green?

#212 7 years ago

I have to wait until the GB Premiums are out before I'll decide on a powder coat color. I'll offer a couple colors for the Premium.

The GB Pro arrived today. Granted it has to be dark in the room, seeing it called glow-in-the-dark, but I charged the white armor with some UV LEDs for less then a minute and I think it looks sweet.

I wish my camera in my phone could show the armor glowing in the dark, it's pretty cool. I'll be doing this coin door and apron in the purple/blue powder coating to tone down the white a little. Right now I have a red apron on it. I looking to redo the t-molding in white as well.

Is that a red plastic apron?

Yes... I found the last box of them and there are only a few left. I am only going to offer them with interactive lighting kits as an option for our Pinball Refinery Editions.

Here is a picture of the GB Pro machine that I had at Allentown with one in it.

Dang I thought those were looooog gone. Who made those anyway?

Stern and they are long ago from production.

These are the last, of the last, of the last them. I was going through my inventory and found one box of them, that I put away for the a later date. I thought well now is a good time, so I will offer them for Refinery Machines.

Dang. I guess I was lucky to find one for my Mustang Pro then. I have them on my original Refinery Met Pro and Mustang Pro.

#219 7 years ago

Today I picked up the trial purple/blue powder coating color for Ghostbusters. Here's a few pictures of a leg and me holding the side rail up to the machine.

I'll work on getting it installed on this Ghostbusters Pro and take more pictures of it.
And it's not the Metallica color it definitely more blue with metal flake.

Yes that does look nice. Say tell me, some people have said the new Stern games have wobbly legs and the metal is thinner. With you handling sooooo many legs have you noticed a weight reduction of the legs being thinner metal?

#221 7 years ago

I'll post more pictures tomorrow with this color armor on it.

I ready have not noticed this issue, but I do purchase legs from PLB as well.

Here are a few pictures of the purple/blue armor on the Ghostbusters Pro.... It's crazy how the color of the powder coated armor changes the cabinet look. It's gives it a totally different look from the white.

I will be offering both the powder coated white and purple/blue on the website to order for your machine,

Are you going to put an image in the cutouts? Or would you need a license to do that?

#227 7 years ago

Yes, I am working on doing something for the cut out lenses and it will have game interactive flashers as well. It's just not finished yet. I will offer these premium metal aprons on my website once they are finished.

I have the both options of the powder coating colors available to order from my website:

Cool, I want to see what you come up with. Reverse side laser etched?

Quoted from MustangPaul:

Yes.... Mirrored lenses with reverse side laser etched, so the flashers can shine through.

#230 7 years ago

Nice and mirrored plastic no less. I could use something like that but in blue or silver mirror for my Avatar LE that has a chrome apron and a red for my T3 LE apron. But they would probably have to be custom jobs right.

#231 7 years ago

Here's the metal powder coated aprons that I plan on having available soon. These has game interactive flashers with them as well.

Love those inserts. Can you do a T3 insert like that for my LE apron? Something with a picture maybe, not just the letter T and number 3.

#233 7 years ago

Would you be able to

Is it possible for you to make some for the LE's in Slimer Green?

I will have to get with the company that does them for me and I'll get back to you.

Yes, I plan on doing these powder coated aprons the for the GBLE in the Slimer Green. I have a GBLE being shipped to me from one of our customers and it is going to get the total Refinery treatment.

#236 7 years ago

Love the purple!

I'm interested in GBLE apron too.

What is your policy on handling "ghosting inserts" after the fact?

Ok on the GBLE apron. I will have them on the website after I received the GBLE here.

You will have to talk to Stern about this. At this time I have not been given any directions from them with this.

The "Plue" armor/apron/door looks great in person. My Refinery GB Pro arrived this week and looks fantastic. As usual, Steve did a great job. Fast and furious game that looks like an LE.

Cost on the Slimer Green Apron ?

I'd have to see if there's enough people who would like this apron in green for their GBLE.... I could also offer coin doors and shooter rod housing as well.

I'm planning on bring a Refinery Edition Ghostbusters Pro next month to the Chicago Expo...

#243 7 years ago
