I started collecting about 1988 and remember prices in this ball park. Bought quite a few
too. Back then fewer collectors and even less folks that could, or were willing to
find out how to fix them. There were many games I passed on because I though they
were too expensive and since quite a few were made would wait till prices came
down. Some examples; Twilight Zone, $600, Adams Family, $750, TOM, $800.
Many other early DMD games were in the $300-$500 range. EMs and early SS $200 or less.
For the longest time one of the most expensive pins was Bally Fireball (EM) and these
were going for about $1500.
To say I blew it is an understatement. Now I can only dream of having any of these (DMD) titles!
However, found, restored and still have a bunch of pins from those days which I doubt
I'll ever sell. Why did this hobby get so darn expensive? OK, never mind, I know.
