    Quoted from iceman44:

    Couldn’t agree more Sepins!
    It’s a good thing
    Market down. Wealth effect hammered.
    Interest rates up.
    Inflation through the roof.
    No more free Covid handouts.
Supply is gonna swamp the market soon.
Doesn’t mean it’s going to nothing but we are gonna see some serious dips here.
    A “recession” coming? Hmmm. 2008/09
Some people here don’t seem to remember that time in pinball
Since a Wozecle for $6,500 it’s been straight up.
The road doesn’t go on forever and the party will end.
    Patience

Yup all this... look for a full on recession in 2023.

Be interesting to see what happens when money isn't so cheap and easy and real life concerns come into play.

The good news is there are tons of new people in the hobby to keep it afloat and no lack of "rich people" in the mix.

The crazy ass pricing has likely run its course and IMO that isn't a bad thing at all.

    Quoted from MtnFrost:

I have yet to see any pin I want go down in price.

Well, yah... the shit has not even hit the fan yet.

There are still people trying to "buy the dip" in crypto for fucks sake.

Reality has not yet set in.

    Quoted from fosaisu:

Last time the shit hit the fan did pin prices go down? I wasn’t in the hobby in 2008 but word is pins didn’t really track the real estate (or stock) market that time around.

Hard to compare since the "market" is totally different.

Obviously no one knows the exact numbers but the hobby was way smaller in 2008.
