There was one of these last year, so lets do it again.

I'm half predicting, half trying to plant seeds with this; Stern is going to shut-up the Beatles whiners by taking the re-engineered Seawitch layout they built for Beatles and release a traditional production run style updated Seawitch with Dirty Donny or Yeti on the art at standard Pro/Premium/LE pricing.

THE BUBBLE WILL POP!!!

In 2019 we will see 3 new stern titles, 1 new jjp title, 1-2 new spooky titles and possibly a new remake from cgc. All other manufactures who knows, maybe another American pinball title and maybe something from deep root.

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

I predict we will finally see a real/modern non-licensed game from Stern and it will be awesome.

I predict we see some new big people/names added to team spooky (I was at the factory yesterday and WOW things are cranking and getting shit done! They will need to add a few known entities to design games and will then hit a really nice steady state)

I predict Deep Root will not meet the hype they have set for themselves. At this point anything less than 5 amazing games at competitive prices and they will miss the mark.

I predict CGC puts out another remake and continues to set a new bar for how a remake can be upgraded and refined while being a competitive price.

I predict that some of the modders out there (existing and newcomers) will bring out something that completely wows us and makes the big boys stand up and take notice

Agree, Deeproot have set expectations high.

If they even have one totally must have title, that in reality would be good enough.

Jaws from Stern?

Elvira 3?

Lots and lots of bitching.

I predict I won't be able to control my pinball addiction. It comes true every year... : )

Will go all of 2019 without a pin purchase.

#20 4 years ago

MULTIMORPHIC will score some exclusive rights to big titles. Sony, Warner, Miramax......NFL with 32 options would be sweet.

#21 4 years ago

LTG decides to grow his hair for this coming summer, to look like he did in 1975. And he plans to take up swimming in the ocean, in Minn.

#24 4 years ago

ColorDmd for KISS will be done, now that code has updated

Munsters will be shipped, and received well

#25 4 years ago

After Beatles is done, it will be reskinned as Seawitch 2.0

Pro will not have the spinning disk and regular spinners (non opto) with normal trim, Prem/LE will.

#26 4 years ago

Somebody, hopefully JJP, will get the license to produce a Harry Potter based pinball or Fantastic Beasts based pinball . Either one or both will be great! Now, no one awaken me.

#27 4 years ago

Will we see a Black Knight threequel in April 2019 to celebrate 30 years since BK2000?

#28 4 years ago

I predict that toward the end of the year, someone will start a "Pinball Predictions for 2020" thread.

#29 4 years ago

meh I'll make some 2019 Stern predictions. Why not. It's going to be a very good year for Stern titles....

CORNERSTONES
Winter/Spring: Ritchie - Black Knight 3000
Summer: Eddy - Jaws
Fall/Winter: Elwin - Led Zeppelin

VAULT
TWD: Comic Book Art Edition

END OF PRODUCTION
Metallica

SURPRISE CODE UPDATE
Ironman

MOST EXCITED ABOUT:
An energized Ritchie having almost 2 years and total creative freedom for an original theme title, and the fact that he will finally have a super-talented artist to work with. Lyman on code? Pinch me I'm dreaming! Very likely this will be his best game since returning to Stern.

A giant pinball shaped comet will destroy the earth!

The Beach Boys pinball gets announced at the beginning of summer 2019 with a layout similar to Stars, and they sell all 1961 of them for $10,000 and up a piece before the 4th of July.

Dude, if they did do this I will just shit my pants. Enough said.

#36 4 years ago

I predict I will continue to bore family and friends when I tell them about things I read in Pinside.

#37 4 years ago

A time traveling pinball machine will be seen at Circle K. Pinsiders will declare this to be Bodacious! and will be excellent towards each other for balance of the year. Medieval dickweeds talking bogus about the pin and other trolls will be put into an Iron Maiden! 2019 will be known as the year to play lots of pinball and Party On, Dude!

#38 4 years ago
Quoted from branlon8:

I predict manufacturers will continue to use boring family friendly licenses that pinsiders request.

#40 4 years ago

A Settlement will be reached with the Dutch Pinball Group, a contract Manufacturer not under DP control will be announced for Lebowski.
A slew of B-C-D EM titles will hit the market for fire sale prices, A-List EMs will slightly go up in value.
Dialed In will be revamped/ reconfigured into a new Title.
One major and 2 minor parts suppliers will announce retirements, one will continue under new management.
Prices for newer (1-10 years old) used machines will drop significantly.
The Barcade business will decline as fewer people have disposable income due to an economic downturn.
SS machines using the Altek replacement boards (Bally, Stern, etc) will continue to rise in value.

The Stern kickstarter book will still not be published.

Stern will still not address this.

#42 4 years ago
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

At least like 1994 would be nice.

I predict joe will announce on dec 12, 2019 that great progress is being made and a new intern has been hired.

#44 4 years ago

No time on these other than 2019.

Chicago Gaming will have their next remake out. Jersey Jack Pinball will release their next game. American Pinball will release their next Game. Stern will have at least three new titles out. Spooky will have two new games out, Scott's next one and a major surprise. And Circus Maximus will have Kingpin rolling out the door.

At least one major name will leave the manufacturing of pinball machines. My tech support will grow.

LTG : )

#45 4 years ago

Stern will build three two flipper games and people will bitch

JJP will make one game announcement but will not ship till 2020 all JJP fans will say why this is a good thing

#46 4 years ago

Magic Girl will be released by DeepRoot, and people are going to be super pissed because it will be completely different than the Jpop version. Because you know... they had to get rid of the crap that didn't work.
