I have the opportunity to buy this pair of machines. The Pinball Pool has a decent playfield, bg has some larger than pin size loss but looks decent unlit. Machine is complete but it looks like the original battery is present (likely acid damage but did not check) fair to good cabinet.

Mr & Mrs Pac-man is missing the solenoid driver/voltage regulator board. playfield is rough as is the cabinet.

Neither has been plugged in.

I have read that the got sys 1 boards have obsolete spider chips that are often blown. No idea how much to offer.

It seems Mr Mrs Pac-man pins sell pretty cheap. Is the solenoid/regulator board unique to this machine...is it easily found? Again, no idea what to offer.

I have no issue having rough players machines, I just worry about buying games for which I can't find parts.

Opinions?

Thank you for your time as well as any and all advice.

The Bally driver board is common and is used in all games from 1977-1984 and can be had pretty cheap, but a used one will typically not work 100%. Assume you will have to buy or repair the MPU in both. Replacements cost about $200 so factor that into your offer. I probably wouldn't offer more than a couple hundred per game, maybe even less for the M&M Pac.....it's pretty rough, unless the backglass is nice.

The pac pinballs are cheap and a decent one can be bought for a few hundred. It is a fun game but dont overpay for it. Most of them I have seen have a lot of playfield wear and always some at minimum. Used driver board are easy to find and they are simple to fix. Make sure the back glass is in good shape, that will be the hardest part to find if its trashed.
