I can see how someone from Socal might be suspicious. You people have been pin-starved for so many years now, the thought of someone offering to let you play their large collection for free probably seems a little scary. Perfectly understandable.
You should know that around the rest of the country (and pretty much everywhere else in the world except Iran), people with large collections will often walk right up to strangers on the street and ask 'Hey, would you like to come over to my house and play my massive collection of pins?'. It's happened to me like 5 times in the last 2 days. Seriously. So don't be so suspicious. Go check it out and report back here afterward. d

It's pretty much common knowledge that Socal has been pin-starved location-wise for years. I hope folks down that way will take advantage of the original poster's generous offer. I know I would if I lived closer.
