I love South Park series... but this pinball machine sucks IMO. $7,700 Hammer price?? WTF?!?!?! I'd rather buy a NIB Premium from Stern.

Damn... these starting prices at the beginning of each auction is insane. Well over pinside average.

    #102 2 years ago

    BTTF $14,000 Hammer price.

    Quoted from mark532011:

Dang, I sold my Harlem Globetrotters for $1000, the auction one went for $3800

All I know is that I’m now sitting on $7600 worth of HG! Let me go write an ad to let everyone understand that I know what I’ve got!

    #106 2 years ago

Someone wake me up from this weird dream I am having about a pinball auction

    #107 2 years ago

Another impact is people operating games. Everyone in the country and world going to assume that little corner of the bar sits 100,000+ in equipment now.

Wait for pinball theft now lol

    #109 2 years ago
    Quoted from Bmanpin:

This auction has received national media coverage ex: The Today Show, maybe these are truly uninformed buyers? Great notoriety for the hobby however.

This right here. This has received so much coverage that you have an influx of bidders who have no idea of the true or typical value, thus pushing up the bid pricing. This isn't just the pinball, even the arcade cabs are going well over your average or even high end sale price. I hear there is quite a few overseas bidders as well, so once the dust settles, we will see if there is a pattern in bidder #'s.

Also, there could be some "nudging" involved, it wouldn't surprise me.

    #110 2 years ago

Well at least now I understand EBay pricing.

For years I’ve seen the same sellers with their games priced two to three times current values and wondered how are they able to keep this up. Well apparently they were selling to the underverse outside of pinside.

Hold on to your wallet for even crazier prices everywhere as a result of this auction.

    #111 2 years ago

Gay 90s $3300 — my fully restored one is going to put my kids through school!

I don’t know what to say except maybe selling through eBay or an auction house is the way of the future.

    #112 2 years ago

WOW x files 6500+, Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends Pinball Machine Data East SS $6,800+ now that's funny. There are a bunch of dipshits bidding on this stuff.

    #113 2 years ago

Dealers must be scrambling to get there machines in the auction!!

    #114 2 years ago

Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends Pinball Machine Data East SS $6,800

Was this a blue or black version?

    #115 2 years ago

    Black version

    at the 9:28:23 mark

    #116 2 years ago

So what was the final total take?

    #117 2 years ago

My bet is that many of these games will be loaded up in a shipping container and headed to Middle East or China.

    #118 2 years ago

Typical auction. Things will start to get interesting after 1344.

    #119 2 years ago

    Black version?

Just the public and pinball owners knowing that there is someone out there paying these prices for average condition games will send list prices sky high but I think that’s stating the obvious at this point.

    #121 2 years ago
    Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Wait for pinball theft now lol

Some ops won’t want to wait and pull their stuff now. A pinball that laughs and farts to take your $1 bills that everyone knows auctioned for almost 10,000 might not be worth it to leave blowing in the wind.

Years ago you could play pinball at a laundromat that was off the interstate that was open 24/7 the doors didn’t even lock. Those places are gone for pinball. Or videos for that matter.

    #122 2 years ago

Any guess on what the total will be? Looks like they are going to make a ton of money. $$$

    #123 2 years ago

    Black cabinet
    For Europe distributor .
Auctioneer said aprox 200 made in black.

    #125 2 years ago

I signed up for auction in hopes to get a machine or two.

    I was sadly mistaken.

    Hammer price + 18% + Tax 7.5% + shipping = WTF!!!

    #126 2 years ago

Every price is record high and terrible games are going for more than great games. You can tell the bidders know nothing about pinball. I feel like this warning should come up when you start watching the auction.

    #127 2 years ago

Does this mean I dont have to hear low ballers say I can get it cheaper at the auction ?

    #128 2 years ago

Want to see $15k for the PinBot

We all said the same 20 plus years ago when TZs were auctioned for $1200 and similar. We only know the Now value but the future is unwritten.

The thought of perceived values on my equipment has crossed my mind. Not just burglary. But two big guys and a gun could grab a game or two and throw in a vehicle and go.

That was never a concern. But with so many stores ignoring shoplifters, it's a possibility.

    #138 2 years ago

I think my entire collection and net worth just doubled or maybe even tripled, and I'm fine with that.

Holy Crap. Hercules just sold for 18000 + taxes and fees. Historical value on pinside is 4900... How disappointing for the actual player.

    #142 2 years ago

    Just watched that also
    18,000
    WOW

People, this is a novelty. The freak outs should
    Be tempered.

No, your games are not now worth banning auction money. Unless you have 1100 games and can get your auction publicized in the New York Times.

    Deep breaths people.

What do you guys think the over/under should be set on Addams Family...26k?

    #146 2 years ago

Im interested to see how high the Medieval Madness goes for

    #147 2 years ago

Did anyone see how much the Flash Gordon sold for?
    Never mind. I found it.

More curious on the JJP CE collection and Magic Girl. If prices on Pinside are crazy at auction these should be insane.

    #149 2 years ago

Bad Cats for $9900 is the winner.

Btw, what’s the deal with Cosmic Princess (Australia) for $13300? Is Cosmic Princess special? Does the Australian version make it even more special?

They didn't sell any in the US AFAIK.
