just you know, a tad more expensive

Adjusting for inflation, $150 to $700 in 1983 equates to roughly $450 to $2,100 in 2022.

The bigger question is, do any of those family members still have their games/collect pins? Are any of them on Pinside? That'd be cool to know...

"here at the Automatic Cigarette Machine Company in Plains Township"

I wonder if that company still exists, and what the name is now?

Same. My dad picked up a Gottlieb Big Shot for the holidays around that time. I still have the game today.

1985 for me, but not pins, vids. The local Chuck E. Cheese shut down and auctioned off all their games. We bought 5 of them. Can't remember if they had any pins at that sale, though.
