Let's have a fun thread here. It's no secret that for the most part pinball today is making it's money and staying on life support milking licensed themes from the past.

So lets get into the way back machine and see what pinball machines were fresh when today's licensed themes were.

I'll start this off with Ghostbusters. The year was 1984 and and Space Shuttle was raking in the dough at the local arcades.

    1971

My self and most other kids in the neighborhood were flocking to the theaters to see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Unbeknownst to many of us at the time, Bally was releasing their dinosaur themed game.

Speaking of dinosaurs, in the summer of 1993 Steven Spielberg's latest blockbuster Jurassic Park was knocking them dead at the box office. Two months prior to the movie's release, Data East released it's Jurassic Park pinball machine. Imagine that, a pinball machine getting released before the movie it was themed after.

However, it is quite refreshing that with the new Jurassic Park game, modern pinball has finally made it back to the 90s again.
