So my wife is changing my placement of a AC/DC machine in our new house, and it looks like it will be in an office area instead.....with pretty thick carpet.

Any tips on placing a machine on carpet instead of solid surface?

Yes, one thing... Carpet Sliders. Trust me, it will be the best investment you will make.

Carpet sliders are a must if you have your machines on carpet.

Remind her to lift with the knees and protect the back. Add carpet sliders under 4 legs and slide.

Sliders are good to move it around, but these offer some sort of carpet protection

I prefer the nylon backed sliders. After you get the game out of its divets, it is very easy to move.

I also prefer my games over carpet rather than hardwood just for the niose levels. Carpet sucks up much of the noise.

You also need to be careful when doing repairs to your machines. Static electricity is generated very quickly and easily moving your feet on carpet. be sure to discharge any static by touching gound braid or wear an anti static bracelet tied to ground before touching circuit boards.

I know this is and old thread, but I just wanted to say these are exactly what I was looking for. They keep the game in place (Unlike carpet sliders) and actually prevent the carpet from getting pushed down (Also unlike carpet sliders).

I got these and they seem to work pretty good.
I can slide the machine around on the carpet if I push it.
    about $6 for a set of 4.
