Great info, but any way to make it alphabetical? Really hard to find a specific abbreviation if you're looking for it.

    #4 9 years ago

Added some more to the list, and tried to get them alphabetical HHaase.

    Pinball Terminology additions:

I've always used FGY for Family Guy vs. FG.

Seems like the '81 classic should be entitled to it based on seniority.

FWIW, the IPDB list has it this way too.

Saw a "PZ" in another post today - not on your list, trying to figure out what the heck a PZ machine is!

...How embarrassing, saw it was the first "P" on your list...I need lasik - BAD.

I checked and checked, just to ensure my "blindness" didn't gank me again, I do not see an abbreviation for Data East's Checkpoint, although I do see "CP" is already taken.

Talking in this thread: http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/williams-systems#post-89483 about Williams the abbreviation "WPC" came up. What does it stand for?

I often see WW used for White Water, as well. Like WW doesn't have enough confusion, I know, but it does get used for that, so it should be there to look up.

I do think it's nice to spell a game's name out at least once per post, especially when the abbreviation is ambiguous.

Speaking of White Water, its usual abbreviation is "WH2O", not "WH20" (w h twenty). I see a zero is used above...

I might also suggest BG for backglass, GI for General Illumination, and SG for Stargate.

Finally, I believe the list would be more useful sorted by abbreviation, not game name.

Good call leaving out non-pinball-specific terms, e.g. NIB.

Um, what is AC/DC the abbreviation for?

    alternating current/direct current.
