Forget about everybody's favorite KickStarter whipping boy; check these out.

This poor guy only raised £18 of the £25,000 he needed. Seriously, Mom and Dad? You suck!

But then this guy raised $17k for what seems to be his own personal arcade, offering little more than emails, postcards and t-shirts to his funders:

Some of the worthwhile unfunded projects are kind of sad; I guess the rewards just weren't structured right.

I think they were just donating because his beard hypnotized their wallets open.

Kickstarter is nothing more than online panhandling.

That lethalfrag guy is some popular games-played-while-streaming-on-the-internet guy who had a large fanbase prior to the kickstarter and was going to do stream shows of playing pinball.

Edit: Looks like he did - back in September, based on pictures on his twitter account showing the camera setup. Also, he's a member here at pinside.

See above. My kids have started watching the minecraft idiots instead of playing the game themselves.

I'm about <> that close to slapping the kindle out of their hands and breaking it over my knee the next time I see them watching that garbage.

Not Kickstarter but the same thing.

Probably set up as satire, but it shows how low the bar is for setting one of these up.

"Hey everyone I just played this game at Free Play Florida and I have decided that I want to have this in my house. Possibly next to my bed so I can roll over and play it. I am ok with Kevin Costners face in my house at all time too. If you donate I will let you play my Waterworld pin at least once."

I'll donate $5 if he and his son both grow out some mullets.

And here's a guy who needed $666 to rewire/fix his Kiss:

So this dude wants people to buy him a Waterworld pin? What a crock of shit! He doesn't even have a sad story or anything. When did the world become so self entitled? If you want something, work hard for it and buy it yourself!

I think it was what swampfire said that it was a joke. I think it's funny that Waterworld is the pin he wants.

Man, I sure hope it's a joke. If not, that's just pathetic.
