Ok, so recently I was thinking about getting a cornhole, because me and my gf may play some and like it, and I was curious about how pinside members liked it.

While doing that I was getting a lot of feedback about Super Chexx hockey, which I do plan to try one and see how we like it.

So I am even more curious now, and seeing how all the games I can think of will rate in a poll.

I already have some games on hand that are in the poll, so how they end up will really tell if I/we, are missing out on some awesome game we did not know about

So, when you have played pinball until your wrists are too sore to play again, or you just wanted to do something different, what game is your go to?

(hell, last time I did this I found that SC hockey needs to be checked out, along with even washer toss, so just looking at responses to see what other games we all should look at).

I guess buck hunter falls under arcade. Very popular with guests and good fun.

Multicade. They have tons of games. Variety is the spice of life!

After pinball the games that get played the most in my basement in order are

Pop a shot basketball - non stop play if we have a birthday party. Played by me and my family (wife and two girls 3 and 7) a few times a week

Skee Ball - It was non stop play at a party until we got pop a shot. Played by me and my family a few times a week

Air Hockey - gets a lot of play at parties and usually once a week by me and my family

Multicade - Less play than I thought it would get. Played occasionally at parties and once a week or less by me and my family

Darts - Pretty much only if my dad is over. I really like darts but not many people seem interested. Takes up zero room so it’s here to stay.

Games I used to have and got rid of because they didn’t get played enough. All fun and all games I would keep if I had unlimited room

    Bumper Pool
    Bounce back shuffleboard
    Rod Hockey

Always like to read and see what other games people have in their game rooms

Arcade/multicade. Been playing Pac-Man, Robotron, Tempest, Donkey Kong, and so on since they all came out and still not tired of them. I have a nice pool table and electronic darts, but don't use them very often. Wish I had room for a shuffleboard table or shufflebowler, but that would mean some pinballs would have to go.

darts and bubble hockey and horseshoes

I voted 'other'. Although not a game, I enjoy collecting and restoring 50 and 60s 45 RPM jukeboxes. I have 25; a variety of Seeburg, AMi, Wurlitzer and Rockola. They look fantastic and are relatively easy to repair, troubleshoot and restore. It's also rewarding collecting records toi fill them up!

I would say Magic: the Gathering or Dungeons and Dragons for me. As far as coin-op stuff, PGA Tour Golf.

I also love foosball. It is my favorite of the "bar games". I also have pool and shuffleboard.

My vote is for pool table. I know alot of pinsiders don't like it because of the amount of space it takes up, but I'm looking to add a table to my gameroom if I ever get it finished. Most of the poll choices revolve around more than one player like ping pong, bubble hockey, etc. While pool is more enjoyable against an opponent, it's still satisfying to rack 'em and try to run the table.

Let me know when you get the pool table. I’ll be looking for the Pinball games it displaces!

Any other kind of score attack game. Golden age arcade, vertical/horizontal shooting, puzzle games, rhythm games, new stuff like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta. Any game that you can always come back to and challenge yourself to get a new best record.

Picked up a couple linked sit down drivers recently. Mega hit.

Running, hitting the trails at dusk and when finished, I'm amped up for pinball.

My kids love Gamegate multi-cade, and they play it everyday. I like playing Marble Madness, Q-bert, Street Fighter,NBA Jam, etc. on it. Right now I am playing Golden Tee the most as it never gets old for me. Also playing a lot of Spyhunter right now.

Wasting hours on pinside on the forums, commenting on threads like this, wishing games for sale in Florida and Texas were closer, and looking at what's better Addams Family or High roller casino polls.

Surprised nobody has said a big ball bowler. I picked one up a few months ago and just finished getting it all up and running. Have had friends over about 3 times now and can tell you they walk right past the pins and play the bowler non stop. It is hands down the crowd favorite right now.

Certainly depends on the time of year for me, but I like to play horseshoes. The only problem is finding 3 others that want to play as well.

That and I forgot to add shuffleboard and bowling also.

A six player shuffle can be a good time, but if the space is there, a ball bowler.
I have a couple set up, and during gatherings they both are played more than not.
Also the 14' mechanical Skee Ball, and if some of the League players are over, the
    pool table is played non-stop..

Because of the virus stuff none of my friends are wanting to play the pins, or a multicade or Golden Tee. And that is fine with me, I do not care to be close to anyone at the moment.

For the first time since this virus began, finally some friends were over and we played ping pong. It was awesome, everyone had a lot of fun, and easy to keep a distance.

My corn hole set will be ready this week and friends have shown interest in that also because easy to keep a distance.

    Stay safe!

Really like original arcade video games. Especially the color vector Atari
vids like Star Wars, Tempest, Space Duel, Black Widow, etc. Sure, you
can get a multi-cade or build a MAME but having an original is a step
    above IMO.

There is a free frisbee golf course 3 miles from here. (a public park).

Over a year ago I bought some frisbees, but we were always too busy to go.

Last week my girlfriend and I finally made it out there, and we loved it.

Now she is looking online trying to learn about different weight frisbees and how well they work on a course.

This is also a great way to get out and have fun while social distancing.

(hell, you could probably social distance also playing real golf, but I doubt that would ever be free).

    #34 3 years ago

Hard to pick 1. I'd pick golden tee over super chexx because you can still enjoy it by yourself and you can relax, drink beer and BS while playing, just like real golf. But nothing beats 4-player super chexx for some quick action-packed fun. I also really enjoy strategy board games and texas hold em. 60-in-1 multicades are also pretty sweet if you like the classic 80s arcade games. So many good games, so little time.

So many good games, so little time.

    You nailed that!

We are all very lucky to have so many different awesome games available now.

There is a awesome game, in about any price range from free to over 10k just waiting for you.

I could play Galaga forever on a quarter when I was a kid - always a competition among friends for the high score. Have the arcades on a tv console but no standup one yet at home, guess I would rather spend that money on pins. I do have cornhole, a Tornado Foosball, Arachnid Darts and a United Bowler (not set up, no room right now). Love my Foosball but getting people to play with me is always a negotiation.

Yep , haven’t been playing because of social distancing . But we were getting pretty decent sized games together every two weeks or so for many years .
I voted darts for this .

    Zero turn mower.

    #47 3 years ago

My Golden Tee HE is getting played way more than the multicade at the moment. Beer and golf have gotten me thru many sport-less nights.

    Quoted from Electrocute:

    Zero turn mower.

Hell Yeah! I love cutting grass again, like being a kid again on a bad ass go-kart! (and does not hurt like my previous riders). I really wish I had of bought one of those long ago. (mine is 2 years old now).

    Quoted from Briks-707:

My Golden Tee HE is getting played way more than the multicade at the moment. Beer and golf have gotten me thru many sport-less nights.

I feel you, same here. Just 2 nights ago I made my 4th double eagle in 4 months, and my back was messed up prior and I was in pain, and the temporary excitement took all my pain away for a minute.

What is your favorite multicade game? I keep going back to River Patrol, but damn that game kills my elbow. (I love Missile Command, Centipede, Pole Position, and a whole lot more also).

I had a real Dig Dug for over 30 years, and I can say this multicade is spot on with that game. And I now know how much the graphics sucked with Golden Tee on the multi, after now having the real one for about 5 months now.

For exercise, ping pong is pretty good.

No cornhole right now, too hot and humid outside, and not enough overhead clearance to play inside.(except when only 11 feet away, and I am pretty good that close and like it).

    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

Just 2 nights ago I made my 4th double eagle in 4 months

I ended up with 4 double eagles while ago. One was a hole in one, and one was a hole out.

For us anyway, Golden Tee is the 2nd best to pinball.

3rd best, I would say ping pong.

And I need to go to the favorite toys thread, I just remembered how much I loved badmitten when I was a kid.
