So we did it, we convinced he bosses to put pinball in our office!

We just recently expanded our building and added a second break room. Our first break room already has arcade multicabs, a pool table and a ping pong table.

When they announced the second room we pushed hard and got a VPCab, a Foosball table and a wall of Xboxes. They even went so far as to get custom gaming cabinets made in the shape of pinball flippers!

I wanted to give a special thanks to the guys over at VPcabs who made the purchase and delivery smooth. It was also incredibly easy to set up once we received it. The machine gets a TON of play every day and stands up to a lot of abuse - we have a number of very enthusiastic nudgers here. It's been so popular that we're trying to pressure the bosses into letting us put in a second machine.

    Nice!

I have a couple machines in my workplace - my home office My coworkers (my dog) let me play whenever I want.

    Virtual Pinball is not pinball.

Still looks like a sweet ass place to work though.

I would think an EM with short game times . Try explaining to the Boss where you've been for 45 min. - playing TSPP in the brake room !

I can explain a 5 min gap in my day .... NO PROBLEM!

    very cool.

when I was moving from my apartment to the house I bought I had some of my games at my work and it was fun to play a couple games at lunch.

but I definitely would be less productive than I am already

Virtual pinball is what got me into the hobby in the first place.

I play at a local arcade every Thursday and the virtual machine has sparked enough interest that a couple of guys from the office go with me now and are signing up for league and buying real machines.

We even had our Q4 wrap-up party at a pinball place.

Virtual or not, if it grows the hobby I'm all for it.

We're also a stone's throw from you (a long throw) in Exton! If you ever want to come out on a Thursday, just let me know!

Better make sure there's no switch in the room that rotates those flippers. Don't want to see those TV screens get knocked off the wall.

Virtual pinball is definitely good for checking out a lot of different games you might not otherwise get to see (like the BBB being played in one pic). The music and callouts are the real thing. I thought about adding a VP cab when I rearranged my pinball room in 2014 to be able to fit in just one more game, because one VP would let a person simulate all the games for which he didn't have the room.

    Sorry. Just being a grump.

I don't really care for virtual pinball, but if it were in my office I would most certainly be playing it.

Sweet! At my old job, we had a Monopoly set up in the cafeteria, but it was one of those situations where you really couldn't afford to play it too much bc it would look like you didn't have enough to do.

I once worked in a large office in Allentown, PA that had a STTNG in near collectible condition. At some point in 2009, there was a company-wide email to vote to either keep the pinball machine or get Guitar Hero set up. Keeping the machine only got one vote, mine. This was an office with 200+ employees. This says a lot about the enthusiasm for the hobby back then.

I'd love to work in an office with a pinball machine (or virtual game). I think this is a great channel to bond with co-workers.

Matt G, can you say what company this is?
