This is a long shot, but wondering if there are any places to play in Santiago or La Serena in Chile. I'm here for a few days a may need a fix.

We have an exchange student living with us who is from just outside Santiago, I asked her but she had nothing specific that I could pass on.

Just use wifi to get out of the insane roaming fees
That is a good idea, but I ended up not having much free time in Santiago. I have left and now spent the day getting to La Serena by bus due to strikes at the airport canceling all the flights. That screwed up my schedule and I won't have a free afternoon to go wine and pisco tasting, but I'll still make it up the mountain to see the big telescopes tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get another chance to visit again soon. From the bit that I saw, Santiago is an amazing city.
