Is there a pinball scene in Oxford, Mississippi? I'm visiting for a few days, wondering if I can find any pinball while I'm here. Nothing popping up on Pinmap.

Looks like a dead zone for most of Mississippi. Memphis is your only hope, and that's an hour away. But they have a decent amount of pins there.

Should be able to find some attractive ladies to talk to in Oxford, MS. Try to sample some good bbq and some fried catfish.
Pinball -- not so much. It's a pinball wasteland in 95% of MS.

It's a shame that some places aren't yet enjoying the resurgence. Sounds like an opportunity for someone...

Probably an issue of disposable income. Mississippi is the poorest state in the nation (highest poverty rate and lowest median income).

Jackson movie theater has Tron that played really well. Not sure how far that is from Oxford

Too far away. Like more than double the distance to Memphis.

When I lived there as a kid... there was only one Arcade on the Coast... Aladdin's Castle.
It closed after Nintendo killed the arcades.

I'd have to agree that MS is a wasteland for Pins; unless you find some collectors groups there.
    College towns? Dream on.

There was a T2 that played pretty well at a Family Fun Center down along the MS Gulf Coast a few years ago, but last time I stopped in there, the machine had been removed.
They have putt-putt golf, go-carts, other games to play, etc.

Doh! I forgot there was an arcade on the coast on the East side of Lorraine Road. I was well before Katrina washed it away. Maybe they moved it there.
I def remember going there bumper boats and some arcade action.

Generally, the Deep South(east) has been pinball wasteland forever. The weather is so warm so much of the year that outside activities occupy the great lion share of off-work hours. We have no 'real' winter to drive us indoors for several months so we never cultivated a strong pinball enthusiast player base.
