I'm a big fan of 70s Italian crime flicks. Watching one called Mad Dog Killer from 1977. What are the two pins in the background?

Quoted from Yoko2una:

Ok so Xfinity/Comcast is running a commercial tonight during the NFL games with what I think is a fireball classic in the background. I’ll leave that up for debate.
But I can’t figure out the game because I’m so infuriated as how they haphazardly set up the drum set. Like the Tom arms are obviously upside down so they’re hanging out in no mans land, the hi-hats are so far over the left Tom that you may have to just have a bag of sticks and keep throwing them at those, and the floor Tom is facing AWAY from the drummer. Wow what a terrible assembly of a kit. I don’t even care anymore. Was there even a pinball in the pics??? [quoted image][quoted image]

It is a Fireball Classic, but they added paper cutouts to cover up the text on the backglass.

In the second image, it appears they decided to dance around the room like idiots instead of playing pinball.

Quoted from gjm:

"Good Fella's" is in the index already but with only one photo of "Nitro Ground Shaker and Astro" together. The index states that "Captain Fantastic" was also in the movie but the person who posted did not include a photo, so I will. I will also post a picture of the front of "Nitro Ground Shaker" because the other photo in the index shows the front of "Astro".
[quoted image]

In that scene in the background, Jimmy's guys were putting those machines into storage because they could no longer be serviced/lack of maintenace etc. Reason being is because earlier in the film, Tommy killed Spider. Tommy was going on and on giving Spider a ton of shit, even shot him in the foot. Later on, Tommy is still bustin' his balls until Spider finally says "Go fuck yourself, Tommy." Then they all laugh at Tommy, until he shoots and kills Spider. Why is this relevant?
Spider was the only one who serviced those machines.

Take a look at each frame and see how each machine somewhat connects with the person it shares a scene with. I havent seen the movie in awhile so not sure if they did something like that.

The first thing I noticed is the black cabinet. But for 1973, it doesn't match up. Dark cabs not very common then. The artwork also appears basic.

If you look closely at the coin door, it appears to protrude towards the bottom. Perhaps as a coin return tray or maybe a holster for something such as a pistol or another accessory.

Also notice the shape on top of where the lock down bar would be. I think that may be part of the game, assuming KE didn't leave some random object sitting on the machine.

Perhaps it is some kind of novelty, pinball hybrid or skill game? Most likely European origin given the location.

Quoted from DanQverymuch:

I tried CSIing a screen grab, and now I can can see a little more clearly that it's a lady dancing with or embracing a man. She has a floofy pinkish dress on, and is looking up into his eyes with her left arm raised and her hand on his shoulder.
It seems like I've seen this pose before, but I'm drawing a blank.
[quoted image]

I'm starting to see a cowboy on horseback.

Or, perhaps a guitar player.

Spanish film from 1972 called Cannibal Man (aka the Week of the Killer.)

Early in the movie theres a scene in a small cafe featuring a pair of Domino machines made by the Spanish manufacturer Maresa. From what I understand, it is a copy of Domino (Gottlieb 1968) but with different artwork.

Later in the movie another machine appears. It is called Top-Secret (Maresa early 70s.) Because the main character is playing this game, there are some prominent shots of the game, including the backglass. Really cool artwork. According to IPDB, the layout is similar to Miss-O (Williams 1969) but minus 2 pop bumpers.

Quoted from rickker:

Indeed. I take it you also received your copy from Mondo Macabro?

Yes and it was better than I expected. Sometimes these red case editions are hit or miss, but this one is great. I dig these vigilante style movies and this one came with a twist.
