This topic may have been started in the past but let's go after it again. I am watching Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and just noticed a pinball game in Lex Luther's room in the background about half way through the movie. Could not tell but maybe Firepower? Another one recently is the commercial for Pizza Hut talking about a man cave where there are two games in the distance background. Not sure which one maybe Dr. Earnhart Jr. or Nascar.

That's the commercial I was referring to which made me start this.
I know there is a few in the old comedy movie "Loverboy" where Mean Gean gets mad at him for messy around with his girlfriend. Also in Jennifer's Body staring Megan Fox I believe during the bar scene where there watching the band her friend is playing the game Fire in the background.
Since it's almost Halloween I came across a Stephen Kings movie called Graveyard Shift on AMC during horror week. Just about 10 to 15 mins into the movie when the main character walks into the bar three guys are hugged around a pinball machine. Can't make out exactly what the game is but movie came out in 1990.
It is amazing that almost all of these movies we can hardly see the games or camera angle never really goes directly across the machine. I know the movie is not about the game but must have been a licensing thing. Same is done with beer bottles and alcoholic bottles as the front label is turned around in movies or TV shows unless they have the rights to show it. A shame really and wish it was not this way. I always like figuring out the beer in movies as well since I collect different kinds of beer labels. Maybe I should start a separate form of name that beer in the movie.
Just discovered a new one in the movie called Killer Joe. 24 minutes into movie when they meet in the vacant billards room there is The Getaway High Speed II in back corner. Find thing as the name on outside cabinet is blanked out with blue paint or something but you can make it out throught backglass if paused. Appears to be fond on purpose with blue paint and of wood in front to avoid seeing name. Always wondered why some beers or any symbols can't be portrayed in movies without permission, etc. They must have wanted pin in background but not allow us to see name on outside.

Wow just woke up from Thanksgiving nap and noticed my parents were watching an old black n white movie with Clark Gable called "The Hucksters" made in 1947. Walked in and guess what I saw was an old pinball machine in the movie during lobby scene in hotel. There were guys huddled around it. Quick glance of back glass had a lot of numbers on it, maybe horses and appeared to be old kind of gambling pin. Funny I started this topic and now may have found oldest pin in movie. Anyway just shocked to see a pin in movie from black n white days.
Just watched the movie The Purge. Not the best movie and don't understand the hype, etc. but during one scene in game room with pool table Ethan Hawk smashes the glass on a pin. Appears to have yellow stars on the side cabinet and a rocket or spaceship on the back glass. Anyone know the pin?

I understand but don't understand why the games names have to be blacked out just like the beer in movies or shows. Can't show the name unless they pay for it, right
This is one stupid movie but in the back there is a pin conversion maybe on back glass and cabinet. Hard to believe they went through the trouble to make it. Movie is Idiocracy came out in 2006. It is suppose to be whoever is the President in the movie, Mach gold or whatever, man this movie sucks but here is picture. Maybe I could use some of those beer bottles above pin in my collection.

Nice to see the game name not black out in the movie like it has to be done in today's movies for rights or whatever reason to pay to use the name if show it on tv or movie. Kind of like you never see the beer label of a beer in most movies or type of soda.

I think I might have mentioned before when I started thread but not sure, funny thing as I am watching movie now on AMC. There is another pinball machine in the bar they always meet at as well, hard to see what it is and not a real clear shot unless try to pause it.

Watched a movie with parents last night, they like to tape older movies. It was Frank Sinatra in The First Deadly Sin from 1980 crime drama, little slow for me but did not a few pins in the bar area around 45mins in and one scene could see one of the pins clear with scores and game on, but unable to snap a pic or pause the movie to get a quick photo as my Dad did not care about me posting it in my own thread, sorry, he is old school. Anyway someone might name the pin if your a Sinatra fan of his movies if come across but still had to post.

I noticed a few Kojak posts with pins. Here is Kojak-A long way from Times Square aired on 11/30/75 season 3 episode 12 appears to have two pins, one is Play Ball and other need to figure out. Guys get in fight on them.
