In the season finale of Kevin Can Wait, there's a startup company and there's a Punchy the Clown in the office. I had never seen that before so had to search to find out what it was. Turns out there's only 103 units ever made back in 1993, so it's a little odd that it was on the show. Maybe one of the staff's personal collection?

Just saw an EM with horseshoes on the side in the first episode of 9-1-1 Austin. They were breaking down a wall right next to it, which doesn't seem ideal... Lol

Session 2, episode 9 (season finale) of Doom Patrol has a bunch of pins and arcade games when a main character is sitting in an arcade at a country fair. There's a Funhouse... a Time Crusaders which doesn't seem to be real? I cant make out the other three.

Quoted from goodypin18:

Anyone ever notice on the HBO series Entourage that the pins in the house are always different on every episode?

So they're like Pinsiders who cycled their entire collection every 6 months?

I searched, but didn't see this listed. There's an original Star Trek and a Star Trek Next Generation pinball in the special feature of the Star Trek Insurrection Blu-ray. They're interviewing Michael Westmore, makeup artist, and he has both in his home. It's at the 9:11 mark of the special feature and lasts 20 seconds. He claims he helped design the TNG machine, and that it's "state of the art with all the bells and whistles" and "the lots of bells going off as the balls go through." Not sure I believe he's even played it, let alone helped design it, but there ya go.

In The Christmas Chronicles, there are a couple of machines in the background of the thugs' hideout. I don't recommend the movie (it went from sappy Lifetime movie to "am I high?" halfway through).

I can't tell what machines they are though.

A little bit of a stretch, but in S1E13 of Harley Quinn on HBO Max ("The Final Joke"), there are a couple of generic pins in Jokers' tower.

Quoted from girloveswaffles:

I don't think this has been mentioned, but Season 2, Episode nine of Doom Patrol:
Williams Cyclone, Williams Black Knight 2000, Williams Fun House, Some rethemed gottlieb 2 player EM (Time Crusaders), and a rethemed Bally 4 player EM (The Dawn of Space).

I posted this, but you have much better pictures.

Quoted from Mathazar:

I love it, but I love it more when the prop is era correct. That 1960 Spot-a-Card is showing up in MASH which takes place during the Korean War (1950-1953).
Then there's Bally's "Nip It" from 1973 that is frequently seen in the sitcom Happy Days which takes place during the 50's and early 60's.

Almost like there should be a sister thread entitled "Pinball in movies or TV shows? Name a game in the background that is not appropriate to the setting"

Nothing specific, but there's some pinball sounds in the bowling alley scene of the new Netflix movie, Senior Year with Rebel Wilson. It's not a very good movie though.

Quoted from roffels:

What's worse, that, or a solid state having EM chime sounds?

Many/most sounds in TV shows and movies aren't real - they are added later through a process called foley. It's pretty interesting. https://www.masterclass.com/articles/film-101-understanding-foley-sound-and-why-foley-sound-is-important#what-is-foley-art

Quoted from roffels:

I'm a film and sound nerd, so I'm pretty familiar, but EM sounds is still a pet peeve.

Agreed.

(I love movies, but just learned about this 6 months ago and found it fascinating )
