At the beginning of Rocky he carries a drunk into a bar and there's a pin against the wall. The cabinet appears to be a Lucky Ace but the back glass doesn't match. Thoughts?

I think I might have mentioned before when I started thread but not sure, funny thing as I am watching movie now on AMC. There is another pinball machine in the bar they always meet at as well, hard to see what it is and not a real clear shot unless try to pause it.

I've seen goodfellas close to 100 times and never noticed the Captain Fantastic in the social club till last night's amc airing.

Quoted from setzkor:

Where does this "Liquidator" have his shop... He seems to be liquidating a lot of pins

Store is called Direct Liquidation. Located in Burnaby, BC Canada

Show ran from about 2013 to 2016. In just about every episode you see some pins in the background. One episode had John from John's jukes buying a Haunted House.

No screen grabs but there's a pinbot and a few others in the latest Cialis commercial.

Also looks to be a future spa? in Jim and Charles' apartment on season 2 of Brockmire.

Quoted from northerndude:

What channel/show is this on?

It's on daily on oln. Even though I'm sure I've seen every episode a half dozen times I still get a kick watching Jeff screw his buddies over. Because of it the show had a limited lifespan. They tried to spin it off with him traveling around "on the go" but only made 1 season.

Quoted from ImNotNorm:

It's a great show.

Can't wait for my next trip to Vancouver area. Direct liquidation is a must stop for the wife and I.

Quoted from ImNotNorm:

Was watching "Tanked" this morning and they were tasked with turning a Stingray pinball into an aquarium. The client wanted the pinball to be playable after it was turned into a fish tank.
The Tanked guys ended up smashing the backglass at the shop and even Tim from the Pinball HOF made a cameo. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I've been hooked on this show for years and there's a ton of pin spottings. They definitely have a rct in the shop (seen in many episodes)
The pin episode definitely came with 2 backglasses. Gotta create drama right? Just like every car fix up show at some point says "I don't know if we're going to make the deadline"

The middle one could be a Jackbot?

Quoted from girloveswaffles:

Left one, defiantly Space Shuttle, right one does look to be Rescue 911, but the one in the middle isn't Congo.
And if you look closely, there is a fourth pin partially visible to the left of Space Shuttle:

The Black Hole in Strange Brew has been mentioned before but what game is beside it?

#1305 2 years ago

There's a thread where the company defended their work. Good on them charging them $400 for leds!

The whole show was basically them finding the highest ebay listing they could find on any item and making it the value. Price pumping to a whole new level.

Quoted from girloveswaffles:

Someone want to tell them it's a $900 game?

Quoted from Eightball88:

Did anyone catch the episode of Vintage Tech Hunters (I think that’s what it’s called) where they bring a Gorgar they bought from a bowling in for a shop job? I think they claimed they could flip it for $3500 (seemed a bit steep to me).

Couple movies I've seen recently. Not sure if they've been mentioned already?

The Toy with Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason. The kid has a Volcano, Haunted House and a Mars God of War in his bedroom

The Rose with Bette Midler. Towards the end of the movie she stops at a honky tonk bar and there's a unidentified pin in the background.

#1450 2 years ago

This is a awesome link! Thanks

Ok...im going back to watch "the Toy"
Lol. I never noticed. Of course, i probably havent watched it in 30 years.

#2485 11 months ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Why would you have Shrek AND Family Guy when it's literally the same game just reskinned...?

Theme draws people in. A non pinhead wouldn't even realize they're the same.

The Orange on the head and big yellow blob in the middle makes me 95% sure it's a Family Guy.

Quoted from girloveswaffles:

You forgot to mention the Haunted House next to it.

There's a episode where John from John's Jukes comes down and buys it. I want to say it was $1800 back in 2014 or so but been a few years since I've watched the show.

#2931 4 months ago
Quoted from ImNotNorm:

Watching an old YouTube clip of Norm MacDonald on the Dan Patrick podcast on 14/05/2014.
A Dale Earnhardt Jr and NBA pin.
[quoted image]

They've been mentioned a few times. He also added a Pro Football a couple years back when the show moved into the new mancave.

I really need to get VPN or some other ip blocker so I can watch Peacock. Just not the same on the radio and you miss the live lookins during breaks.

Quoted from xsvtoys:

Yet they pulled out that dumbass castle thing with the telephone stories.
There was tons of other good stuff in that guy's collection too. It went on forever, and a lot of it was neatly organized, not just piles of junk. A lot of it you could just catch a glimpse in passing like the pinball machines. I get it, the script called for them to focus on Oddfellow stuff, that's fine. But I think it would be a more interesting show for a collection like this if they went through the whole thing and bought the whole wad for their supposed antique stores. Like, offer that lady $100,000, or $500,000, or whatever it comes out to, and send in a semi and take the whole lot.

I do that at garage/estate sales when I'm first there if I see a bunch a stuff that would make it worth while. Make a offer to buy everything. Worked a few times. I have a free dump so no extra cost for the junk that I can't sell or give away in the free pile at yard sales

Never made it that far into the game. I can remember renting it from blockbuster, walking around in a screen of fog for hours and turning it off thinking anything is better then playing this pos. Can't believe they made multiple Silent Hills.
