Some poor pinball is getting a woman's head slammed into it in this trailer:

Streamed the series on FMOVIES this afternoon

Quoted from RobF:

Generation Hustle S01E04
Opening scene starts with about 20 seconds of a guy playing Attack from Mars with some close-ups on the gameplay. This was an HBO documentary series that was dropped from HBO Max when it downgraded to Max. I don't think it's available streaming anywhere else. I caught it as part of Alaska airlines in-flight entertainment.

I’ve seen some footage of the “workshop” section of the FNAF movie set and there are multiple playfields in there as well.

From the "Mel's Happy Burger" episode of 'Alice', she rehearses on a TV stage for a commercial. I think that's a Williams 'Lucky Ace' back there.

Ooookay, so is a YouTube video a TV show, or a movie? Keep looking, preferably not on YouTube!

#4416 10 months ago

My wife spotted and I verified that on Beverly Hills 90210 Season 6 there is an Earthshaker in Steve's house.

Nope. I found one on YT as well and I’m posting it. If it’s any video content that’s not specifically about pinball but has a pinball machine in it should count. YT is as big a medium as TV nowadays.

This YT interview between David Cross and Maynard James Keenan shows Maynard has a Bally Kiss.

Just watched a cinematic masterpiece called Next of Kin with master thespian, Patrick Swayze. Lots and lots of pinball machines.

Not irrelevant. YT is no different than TV nowadays. When this thread started YT had 800M global viewers. Now it has over 2B users with almost half global internet viewers on YT each month.

The "shows and movies" of the world are no longer just through your old ass antenna or through a coax cable. Lots have changed since this thread started and the intent of it clearly is when you are viewing non-pinball content and find a random pinball machine in the background. Also I guess you have a hair across your ass every time someone posts something from an original Netflix/Hulu/Amazon show since those weren't "on TV", though they can be episodic shows, just consumed through streaming and not on cable. Get with the times.

This is a public service to all that Streaming and YT content that are parts of shows, movies, documentaries, specials, features, or series are fair game in here. The person I'm replying to is stuck in the 80s, and probably in his 80s.

Ha. No one cares if YouTube videos include a pin. Start your own thread instead of clogging up this one.

Next of Kin (1989) was first referenced (without pictures nine years ago).
Here are some shots from the movie for proof . You guys and gals are making me really watch it again for the sake of archival history, huh?
Next of Kin is a cult film where a hillbilly cop goes for justice against the mob. Patrick Swayze was nominated for Worse Actor for a Razzie award that year. Fortunately he lost out to William Shatner for Star Trek V: The Final Frontier . Ben Stiller, Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt Liam Neeson, etc, join a lot of stars in Next of Kin.

The Academy honors pinball machines that may have died this year or been horribly harmed in this movie. Commentary for each of the nine photos is below.

1. 50:42 "Briar Tilts the Mob" The Kiss Machine in the Mob HQ as Hillbilly Briar (played by Liam Neeson in a major acting coup) confronts the mob for mountain justice asking who killed his brother (as well as to telling them the politically correct term is "Mountain William"). Liam is off screen coming in as the Kiss Machine waits for him as well.

2. Road Kings and Galaxy on the Right.

3. Galaxy, run for your life!

4. As poor Galaxy gets shotgunned by Briar, the Gorgar machine to it's right starts praying to Williams for it's life

5. As Briar makes his exit causing damage, we see the frightened looks on the Black Hole machine, Eight Ball, Roller Ball and another Road Kings and Kiss (or the same ones acting twice in the same movie).

6. I am a man of many skills. The pinball machines scream back, "And acting as a hillbilly isn't one of them".

7. Aww, Gorgar takes a bullet to it's backglass head.

8. With it's dying breath, Gorgar triggers multi-ball to ask the mobsters to look after his wife and kids.

9. Did you really have to shoot those pinball machines, Briar? But we love you, Patrick Swayze!

Quoted from dar8dar:

next of kin. bunch of games get shotgun treatment

Quoted from joekiss:

Next of kin with Swayze has a bunch including KISS, fri the 13th original has a KISS,

The new Paul Giamatti movie "The Holdovers" set in 1970, features a period correct Domino (with the right bells!). I confess to a bit of excitement / pride in seeing one of the games I own in the movie.

Features somewhat prominently in the plot - one of the leads (a prep school student, who is held over and does not get to go home for the holidays) puts a dime on the glass for next game and nearly gets into an altercation with two of the townies over "next". One of the townies has an amputated hand, presumably from a tour in Nam, and the privilege of the prep school boys features prominently in the film.

There's also a scene set in a candlepin bowling alley (New England)

#4426 9 months ago

Dopey early 80s show SOLID GOLD, check it out, kinda cool one minute piece "ball view" of a GTB Domino ... starts at 26:41; about a minute long...

Worth a look; interesting they really didn't mind that the flips, playfield and other things were dirty and far from perfect.

#4427 9 months ago

That Solid Gold clip reminded me of this one. Not a movie, but a music video.
A 1979 Bally Kiss game shows up about a minute into this video for the 1980 classic song “Eugene.”

Bye Bye Barry
Amazon original documentary film about Barry Sanders.
The end credits have someone playing a 2001 Stern NFL game with the Detroit Lions (Barry Sanders team) translite.

Pardon, but my TV has a reflective glare.
