Think they were in Ohio but I've had a few happy pops and was warming up dinner.

That movie was filmed in Whittier CA. a few miles from my home. Before the movie was released there was a there was a 5.9 magnitude earthquake that damaged or destroyed a lot of the locations in the movie (10/1/1987).

From the “Emerson, Lake & Palmer - World Tour 1973” documentary.
Screen shot of Keith Emerson at a piano in the barn building rec room of his Stonehill house in East Sussex, England.
What pin is in there? I can’t identify it.

Could it be a Pat Hand? (Wiliams, 1975)

No, the timeline of the film suggests the scene was from around March 1973.

The first thing I noticed is the black cabinet. But for 1973, it doesn't match up. Dark cabs not very common then. The artwork also appears basic.

If you look closely at the coin door, it appears to protrude towards the bottom. Perhaps as a coin return tray or maybe a holster for something such as a pistol or another accessory.

Also notice the shape on top of where the lock down bar would be. I think that may be part of the game, assuming KE didn't leave some random object sitting on the machine.

Perhaps it is some kind of novelty, pinball hybrid or skill game? Most likely European origin given the location.

It’s neither of these. I guess that machine’s identity will remain an Endless Enigma.

I found one potential match for the backglass but the cabinet doesn't match.

Sorry, but that doesn't look anything like the backglass.

I tried CSIing a screen grab, and now I can can see a little more clearly that it's a lady dancing with or embracing a man. She has a floofy pinkish dress on, and is looking up into his eyes with her left arm raised and her hand on his shoulder.

It seems like I've seen this pose before, but I'm drawing a blank.

Funny, all I saw was the number 4.

Probably noted already but I caught a Paragon and Xenon in Stranger Things episode 2 of the new season last night.

Also, "Nobody" (Apple tv?) starring Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as a retired assassin, he had a pin in the house, looked like a re-themed Sorcerer. He had something hidden it it, one shot the camera was in the back of the cabinet so you were looking at the coin door as it opened up from the outside. Kinda cool.

Watching the first ghostbusters, this scene is right before they go to the hotel to catch slimer. I couldn't make out what machine it was.

oops, my bad! I didn't look through all 75 pages before I posted, next time! I was thinking that it might be star gazer but I couldn't get a clearer image, thanks!

I'm starting to see a cowboy on horseback.

Or, perhaps a guitar player.

You don't have to look through all 75 pages.

Just use the topic index at the top of any page. Without the index it would just be mayhem - like you.

At the top of any page in this thread, click on "Topic Index" then click on "keypost summary" and it makes a sorted list alphabetized with every pin that has a picture that's been posted. Very easy to scan that before posting.

EDIT: Beaten.

Can't have this avatar If I don't cause a little mayhem once and a while. Side note, I looked up the original post and a few posts down saw that the ghostbusters pinball machine has a stargazer in the ghostbusters headquarters in the machine, that's some attention to detail!

The only thing missing was after clicking "TOPIC INDEX" to click on "KEYPOST SUMMARY" to sort the list alphabetically. If they've never used any topic index, it won't be sorted alphabetically by default unless they do that the first time.

I put the name of the movie or show in " find in topic " , if I don't find it there , I'll post it .

I think the easiest way to confirm previous submissions is to enter the show/movie into the "search key words in topic" tool located just below and to the right of the thread title on every page. This way submissions that have not been added to the index show up as well.

#3733 1 year ago

... except if it has not been added to the index because it lacks a photo, then by all means do post it with a photo so it can be added! And then you get the credit!

This is a bad idea because there are many cases where a show is called out without a photo, or with a video that's a no-no, and if that happens it's not added to the index. So you may get a hit on the show, but it's not indexed (for a reason). Best to use the index.

EDIT: Beaten

#3736 1 year ago

Yup, I agree with all that. I just did a search for something and the index listing didn't come up even though it was indexed.

EDIT: Beaten

"Find in topic " is quicker and easier and more accurate than key post-index .
If you get a " hit " on a game , you scroll through the posts and see if there is a picture of the game you have .
There are many pins that are named and pictured but not listed in the key index .
Key index only shows you the first pin posted but in find in topic , you can see all the photos related to the movie or show .
For example , if I use the key post to look up Goodfellas , you only see one picture but if I use the find in topic , I can see there's a second machine pictured . So I wouldn't bother posting that , even though it's not a key post.
