Sky Jump (Gottlieb 74) on the left.
Still working on the other. Possibly a pitch & bat?

Lucky Seven (Williams, 1978), Pinball Pool (Gottlieb, 1979) in the background.

Probably my favorite '70s sitcom!

As I recall the episode doesn't show the backbox at all, only the cabinet left side.

What episode was this?

#2464 3 years ago

In the 1976 movie Marathon Man, starring Dustin Hoffman, about 30 minutes in a guy is playing a pinball machine in a drug store. The first shot is of the playfield showing him playing what is clearly a Bally Bow and Arrow. They then cut up to the backbox which is a Gottlieb Polo. That's really a strange mix of machine and manufacturer to put together in the movie.

Date Night | Hit and Run pitch & bat.

Also, I don't think that is a Tornado foosball table (the best, IMO), but definitely the style I grew up on with a single goalie and elevated corners (they also had glass playfields). I hate the newer tables with flat goalies and 3 men on the back bar, but since I'm only a fraction of the player I was in my youth, it probably doesn't really matter. Oh, and not sure how they keep score on that one - why would the remove the counters?

Sorry for this one, but somehow I overlooked it when checking the index. My apologies to ImNotNorm who originally posted it 6 months ago.

Dang, I missed it somehow, and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I hate it when people post ones that are already indexed, and now I'm guilty of it. I promised I looked beforehand (always the first thing I do before I post here), and quite frankly was a little surprised when I didn't see it. I amended my original post noting that it had already been reported.

No biggie. I just didn't want you to think you were being ignored.

If anyone has some time to kill and a keen eye to go with their 80s pinball knowledge, there must be something like eight pins in the arcade in the first episode of Halt and Catch Fire, currently available on Netflix.

They're in the background and blurry, though. I'm pretty sure one is a Silverball Mania. I could noodle out more, probably, but someone with instant recognition of that era's games could do it faster.

There are two scenes in the arcade to work with, so that should help. Another one I recognized was Eight Ball Deluxe.

I didn't see this posted. In the last several episodes of "Impractical Jokers Dinner Show," they are showing what is apparently Q's collection. Which isn't bad... Looks to be Iron Maiden, Twilight Zone and Batman 66.

Brian Quinn is quite the pinball enthusiast.
He makes up half of the dynamic duo
the Pinball Twinz
along with Bryan Johnson
(of Comic book men and Tell 'em Steve-Dave podcast fame).

Cool, I didn't know that. In which case, those 3 may not be his full collection I do see a video with him in front of Ghostbusters elsewhere on the net. It's odd that the first half of the season of the Dinner Date shows didn't have him eating in front of the machines. Maybe Mrs. Kallabash told him to show off his pinball swag.

Why would you have Shrek AND Family Guy when it's literally the same game just reskinned...?

Theme draws people in. A non pinhead wouldn't even realize they're the same.

The Orange on the head and big yellow blob in the middle makes me 95% sure it's a Family Guy.
