Quoted from dirkdiggler:

Wife is watching a movie called Thank God It's Friday. I see a gottlieb Volley and another couple games at Jeff Goldblums disco
[quoted image]

Gottlieb Big Hit next to the Volley. Got any screencaps of the others? Will have to check this movie out, looks like fun

Quoted from Chrisbee:

Name this one.
[quoted image]

I have 2 of these

Quoted from SteveP3:

I still can't figure out what's in Donnie Brasco, there are multiple games throughout the movie. Someone mentioned 'Big Game' but it does not appear to be a match at all when referencing the ipdb.
Here's two pics from the movie from different angles, if anyone can identify this that would be neat. So far the internet turns up nothing for me. Appears to be a 4 player EM. [quoted image]

Watching this movie tonight and noticed pin as well, appears to be same one in Donnie Brasco movie 1997 but not sure if we named it.

It's a Williams Honey. You can see it a little more clearly in other scenes.

My Three Sons (S01E16 - "Bub Leaves Home"): Nags (Williams, 1960)

There's also a shot of the game tilting but its backglass close-up is obviously not Nags therefore I didn't include it here.

I remember seeing this episode several times
and recognizing the game, but did not remember that the BG was altered.

Gottlieb Fire Queen or Vulcan, 1977.

Just saw this on “Be Water” 30 for 30 Bruce Lee documentary on ESPN.

I have no idea what games they are.

Funny how I stop down every time I see a pin on TV. I pause the DVR, hit this forum and search to see if it's been posted before, snap a pic and post if it has not, then on with the show.

Those games look „bingoey“

#2163 3 years ago

I watched the Scanners trilogy over the weekend. In Scanners 2, the arcade had numerous pins. Highlighted were Space Invaders, Eight Ball original, and a Gottlieb coin door blowing off.

#2164 3 years ago
Quoted from hazmat7719:

There is a machine in "Dirty Work" 1998 with Artie Lang and Norm MacDonald. It is in the scene where the bar fight takes place.

"Mazetti's" actually had two pins, a SS Bally Black Jack and a Space Shuttle. Full movie on YouTube. Dumb movie, but man, what a lot of cameos.

Talladega Nights, never saw this in the background.

Edit: it rotated the photo from my phone. I guess now I know why people’s images are rotated sometimes.

I don't know what it is and it looks to have some kind of sign on it. But the movie is from 1953. Perhaps a baseball themed game?

Good find, I didn’t see it in the gallery scanning through.

Don't use the image gallery. Use the topic index and sort by keypost summary. Alphabetizes every one in the thread so you can easily see what's there already.

It looks kind of like Home Run 1940, but it's hard to tell...

Pawn Stars again. 1972 Line Drive pin.
The seller paid $800 for it and sold it to the Corey for $3,750.

Yep, that looks like it! I was searching too new. 40s and up.

I don't think I need to tell most of you what movie that is.

Mary's finds in a locker. The show even went to Neo Retro Arcade to have them appraised.

#2182 3 years ago

They still block out the names of the videos. Hilarious!!

#2183 3 years ago

I'd happily pay $10 for those backglasses.
I think someone was trying to score some backglasses cheap.

It looked like the only one that was in very good condition was the Playball one. the others had flaking, cracking and some bad spray paint toudh-ups.

The episode I need to find is the one where the locker had three quad runners and (drum-roll) a Checkpoint Pinball. They show it but it was totally ignored.

That episode takes place in 1982 or 83 as I recall, so props to the set designers for avoiding any anachronism with their choices.
But it is weird that there are two Flashes in that lineup.

Found it. Storage Wars S02E16 "Driving Miss Barry"

Turns out the quads we're only for sale and the Pinball wasn't included in the auction. They said it was "pending legal issues" regarding the pinball.

Not sure about the bowler, but that woodrail is Gottlieb Queen of Diamonds. I recognize it because it has shown up a couple times in The Fugitive (perhaps it's even the same machine)

Thank you. I knew I recognized it, but had other things going on at the time to research it. The cash register and juke box also caught my eye. I'm amazed how violent a show like Adam 12 was as every kid I knew at the time watched it. But I guess most shows were and we were already conditioned for it.

The bowler showed up in "The Hustler" starring Paul Newman.

No kidding. I caught an old episode of Johnny Sokko where the 10-11 year old kid hero has a handgun and is in a shootout. I was like "Wha? I don't remember that." It would never fly today.

#2196 3 years ago

In these shows, somebody is more likely to die of an overdose than be saved.

Watch Alfred Hitchcock's episode "You're Dead" with a young Billy Mumy carrying a loaded handgun all over town when he thinks it's just a toy.

Personally, I prefer the in your face reality of the older shows, than some of the homogenized for children shit they come up with today. Same could be said for pinball.

Taking the shotgun away from Elmer Fudd in the new Looney Tunes on HBO is a PERFECT example of going too far. He's a HUNTER, for god's sake. It's not like he's hunting with an AR-15.

So Elmer's shotgun is bad, but dynamite in the mouth is ok? It makes no sense. Same thing with the ET re-edit where they took the guns away from the government guys and it was ridiculous, so they put them back.

Yes watched it last night in bed but did not get pics

Just watched "Dirty Work" with Norm MacDonald and Artie Lang.

1st scene is at Mazetti's bar has a Space Shuttle on the right. And looks like a black jack on the left?
2nd scene is at the movie theater but I can't tell what pin. Anybody?
