Impractical Jokers: they crush Sal’s custom machine (they have it painted/powder coated) as a custom one by a monster truck. Wonder if he really is into pinball.

Does a virtual pin count?

This is a awesome link! Thanks

You're welcome. Pingeek does a great job.

Couple movies I've seen recently. Not sure if they've been mentioned already?
The Toy with Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason. The kid has a Volcano, Haunted House and a Mars God of War in his bedroom
The Rose with Bette Midler. Towards the end of the movie she stops at a honky tonk bar and there's a unidentified pin in the background.

Ok...im going back to watch "the Toy"
Lol. I never noticed. Of course, i probably havent watched it in 30 years.

Same here. It used to air around the holidays when I was a kid. When I saw it on the guide I had to pvr it.

I know that Q is into pinball,
as he helped host the Stern Pro circuit championship
earlier this month in Chicago.
Q is also part of the Pinball Twinz spoof.

Fifteen, wow rare. The game was actually being played, and you could hear the sound FX. IIRC in other episodes, the machine was completely off and they were just pretending to play.

Not sure if YouTube videos count but... this guy's name is Ken Heron & his YouTube channel is mostly on him droning in some very interesting places.

This video is of his house where he has 4 pinball machines.

Watch "What Happened To TNL?" on YouTube

Like him besides pinball.... I fly a drone & have always been interested in old radio stuff... I've been collecting tube radios on & off for many years.

This video shows (at 2:50) his tattoos of some vintage radio art.

The Twilight Zone's (2019; S01E05) young President of the USA has a Stern Meteor!

... oh, and a Whipple?

Just sayin, but a Bally DMD from April '93 might not have been a choice.

Tonight’s episode of Outdoor Man. I’m guessing the graphics are fake, but can anyone tell if the play field is real?

Stellar Wars?

Quoted from TopMoose:

Stellar Wars?

By the looks of it, I believe you are correct. Much of the playfield is redone, but big widebody where layout appears to be exact same (not to mention the theme is there). Just saw that it is a Steve Ritchie game from 1979 - Geez, how long has that dude been around pinball?

Entire episode was around PinBall with Mike being a wizard in a past life, as was Larabee. Larabee wanted a game, but Mike didn't want to give it to him (didn't want to relive the burden of being the greatest and everyone always wanting a game to see if they could beat him). They end up playing, but I'll not spoil things. Funny in that Mike even mentions "EM" and other pinball terms when recalling The Captain & Tennille pin (had to spell MUSKRAT LOVE to earn a free game). Makes you wonder if Tim Allen is really into pinball (or who knows, some writer may have come up with the idea).

DP got a new pin? Wish we could get audience network up here in Canada. The new man cave looks pretty awesome.

It's funny, 10 years ago I didn't give a stuff about pinball and now I'm spotting them in the background of some of my favourite movies for the first time. They just pop out now.

Found a couple in an old Law and Order SVU rerun from 2005 ("Identity"). Two rethemed pins, "Muerte y Destrución" which means "death and destruction" (but ought to have two c's) and another we don't get to see except for a dinosaur on the side. Sorry, my Tivo buffer ran out before I got a shot of the second.

It looks like a re-themed SEGA X-Files.

This probably barely counts but on The Big Interview with Dan Rather he interviews Paul Stanley who has a Stern KISS in the corner. I bet I know where he got it!

Quoted from VectorGamer:

"Archie Bunker's Place" where Archie owns his own bar and restaurant. I'm in season 2 right now and the same pinball machine has been on the set.

Quoted from ImNotNorm:

The only pinball reference I could find for "Archie Bunkers Place" was a 1978 Gottlieb 'Hit The Deck.'

In the new movie Rocket Man there is a pinball machine in Dick's office. I was surprised that it wasn't a Captain Fantastic but can't remember what it was.

Grabbed some stills from sources, was curious about that second pin. Looks like a Dr Who with a sticker on the side haha.

Dazed and Confused (1994) set in 1976.... Has a lot of pins at the emporium.
There was a short close up of the Bally Fireball in play...
look at all the wear on it for what should have been a4 year old game.
Yes this movie has been mentioned her before .

Watching the abomination of a movie called The Apple, there's a pinball machine called Paragon. Not even the pinball machines were saved from the horrible costuming. The backglass looks like a broken TV screen.

Does anyone know why they didn’t show Elton John playing Captain Fantastic on his managers office in Rocketman?

Perhaps the strangest aspect of the movie for me - here is this iconic game.... and they go out of their way to show a Williams Magic City which has no reason to be in that office and no relevance to Elton John!

It has properly done my head in since watching the movie!

I'm no Elton historian, but I was wondering if the timing of that meeting (firing the manager) didn't line up with the release of Captain Fantastic. However there were so so many other liberties taken with the timing of events and when songs were actually written and released that I can't imagine they'd be a stickler when it came to the pinball machine.

It's a 100-to-1 shot that whomever dressed the set for that shot even KNEW there is an Elton pinball machine. Lots of shows have them stuck in there nowadays, and obviously for a period movie it was a good choice since they were so common then

I made a comment is some long-lost thread about Magic City, it had to do with a certain thing that I see in my brain whenever I look at that Magic City backglass (the shape of the fountain). And some agreed that once they saw it they couldn't unsee it. When I saw this, I wondered if they thought the same thing and picked that intentionally? It would sorta fit with the theme of the movie....
