Quoted from mwong168:

I'm watching Netflix Narcos Mexico and looks like a custom Bride of Pinbot being shot up in Season 1 Episode 3 here

edit: Sorry didn't realize it was posted above already.

We work quickly. They got retro gaming a bit messed up there. Someone saw an Area 51 cab, where it takes place in 1984. There's boxes of video game consoles which are Magnavox Odysseys, long obsolete when the show was taking place.

It's kinda funny to watch. Rafa's girlfriend is a hottie.

Did anyone catch the episode of Vintage Tech Hunters (I think that’s what it’s called) where they bring a Gorgar they bought from a bowling in for a shop job? I think they claimed they could flip it for $3500 (seemed a bit steep to me).

Someone want to tell them it's a $900 game?

If I recall correctly, they paid 500 for it and put another 1000 in repairs and upgrades, including a new big.

#1305 1 year ago

There's a thread where the company defended their work. Good on them charging them $400 for leds!

The whole show was basically them finding the highest ebay listing they could find on any item and making it the value. Price pumping to a whole new level.

Yeah. I remember thinking you could probably get two nice Gorgars for that money.

Season 12 episode 8 of South Park prominently depicts a made up pinball machine... one I can't identify. Unfortunately it is used in a rape scene as an allegory of George Lucas Raping his original Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies in the remakes.

I must have watched Home Alone a hundred times back in the early 90's. It was only this past weekend when I was watching it with my son, that I noticed a pinball game in the Mcallister's basement.

Surprised no one's commented on the FG in a couple of scenes in last week's episode of Modern Family.

Ralph and Ed were playing one in an episode of The Honeymooners. It was a “lost episode” on Prime Video. The episode is titled “Finders Keepers”.

Definitely not a Flying Carpet, but I can't tell what it is.

The pin on the right, has a cabinet side art for Jungle Queen that Tiger is clear in your first photo. The front panel has different art work than Jungle Queen.
Neither Jungle Princess or Jungle Queen are single player wedge heads. It could be a modified game.

100% on the Tiger.

Both pins are newer than the historical setting of 1920's of this film.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here, but season 2 episode 7 of "Factory Made" shows how a pinball machine is made (Stern NBA). Just saw it on Quest.

'A nite at the Roxbury'

The dad interrupts the Butabi brothers waxing their backs and reveals a pinball in their room. Not sure what pin it is though.

Baffel Ball would be out of place in the 1920’s!

West Side (Kiwi crime comedy) Season 4 Episode 9. Setting is 1982 at this point.
So they used a Trident cabinet... But what did they put on the backglass? You can see dark spots where the player lights for Trident would be. It looks weirdly familiar, though clearly not a pinball one. I think maybe i saw it as a lit wall decoration in the bar in Outrageous Fortune, which this series is a prequel to. Those always looked oddly like pinball art to me.

This pin showed up toward the end of Shutter Island. I paused it and took a phone pic but even on the HDTV it was blurry and I can't make out what pin this is.

Good one, that didn't take long. Hmmm, the theme could be considered somewhat connected to this convoluted movie plot.

To be fair I think it was discussed years ago when the movie came out. It has a stripped cabinet which is interesting.

#1342 1 year ago

Found this

Factual error: The movie is set in 1954, but the pinball machine named 'Seven Seas' in the staff rec area was not actually released until 1959 - even the metal legs on Gottlieb machines would not be introduced until 1957.

How dare they

#1343 1 year ago

This was in the flash forward scene, set in 1968.

It's a 1953 United Tropics. It was used in a couple of episodes and also in the Andy Griffith Show a few times. See The Andy Griffith Show listing on this site.

There was a Gottlieb wedge head in tonight season premier of American Pickers that was in a Hair Stylist store. Could not make out the back glass though because the shots of it were to short, but defiantly a Gottlieb. Got a good look at the coin door. It was an early '70s style.

Top Card! Season 19 Episode 43, of American Pickers.
