Up-down has 10 machines. It's fun if you like to spend very little money to play. Machines are not the quality of either of the two other places but for me that presents a nice challenge. Only local place that has an AFM to play as well.

Quoted from Blenderhead:

Reporting back> Went to 403 Club. The lineup and condition of the machines was GREAT!! Got to play GB, Full Throttle, Mustang, and Avatar for the first time. Now I see what the hype is about with GB.....that game is freakin' SWEET! So is Full Throttle. Avatar was a lot of fun too, had blue superbands that I thought looked really nice and it played great as well...fun machine IMO. Mustang was pretty cool too.
I went to Up Down last night and it is as what has been mentioned. I have an AFM at home but played the one there anyways... love that game. Nice that all the games are a quarter. Also nice eye candy! Lot's of babes. if I was a single dude I'd have to get my game on! The other places around town I still need to check out.
On a side note, my peeps in Ca. of course were saying "get some bbq while your there". I did, went to Gates BBQ. As soon as you walk in, someone shouts to you from behind the counter..loudly.."can I help you??", at first I didn't even know she was talking to me. Long story short, I thought it SUCKED...I get MUCH better BBQ in Ca. then from Gates.

I am a Jack Stack guy myself which is influenced by my wife enjoying it as well. I went to this new place last month off of a tip from a friend and it might be the best BBQ I have ever had. It is called Q39 and is about 10 minutes away from up-down off of the rainbow exit on I-35. Head to 39th street and take a left. About a mile and half down the road on the left hand side. Best ribs I have ever eaten. The sauce is so good that I would shoot it out of the saucer .

The AFM at up-down has a lean to it which I think makes it harder but I have never played a good one. I agree with your other assessment, where was this place when I was single? Anyway, good people and decent machines with prices that can't be beat.

Quoted from parabol420:

Glad you enjoyed the Full Throttle, that is my machine.
403 is where most of the tournament players in KC play. We have weekly wednesday night league as well as a double elimination tournament that starts at 9:00 every week. They also do a large tournament the first Saturday of every month.
There is about 4 of us that own games at 403, all pinsiders, and we strive to keep the rotation constantly moving, with good and new games always coming in.
We should have a Hobbit Smaug edition coming in to replace Metallica in a couple of weeks. When they release the GB premium, the owner of that machine will be swapping the pro out for the premium. We have an Alien coming sometime in the fall, as well as a Big Lebowski and a Rob Zombie.

Any word on when TBL will be there? I will definitely make an appearance for that
